This one, we'll keep tweaking though. Fonts, colors, etc, make a big difference.

Another small issue. When I am in a thread and I type a reply, when it goes back to the thread I sometimes cannot see other peoples recent replies. So I think I read it all, but when I go to "My Home" or "My Topics" I see there are unread posts.

In the prior version, when I came back to the thread it was current.

FYI - My Topics is really My Subscriptions I think, and is actually useful even if LD1 does not like it.

Thanks,
David

PS - The "auto-saved" feature might be worth all the PITA other stuff if it works like I hope it works!

Ohhh...The yellow highlight on the new posts is a stroke of genius. Good job - makes for much easier navigation.

If the upgrade included extra security measures to keep spammers out, it's not doing very well. There are three consecutive Viagra threads in the New Members forum. Don't remember seeing so many at one time.

At least they put them in the correct forum.

I did not say it was not usefull. But there are other ways to get to it without that ginormous icon at the top that pushes other features off the screen.

The OLD TBN did not have a "my topics" And all clicking on it now does is take you to "my home" only it shows subscriptions that have not been active since you last viewed. So instead of clicking on "my topics", just go to "my home>view all subscriptions"

TOO much emphasis is being placed on "one click" navigation, and it is making everything TOO cluttered IMO.

I agree BTW, I was mostly just teasing you in the process...

FAR TOO MUCH emphasis on 1-click... I agree.

And I HATE the ginormous icons (especially when they are not clickable).

As an aside, I HATE How Apple & Macintosh have dumbed computers down, and Windows and Android, and everybdy else have follwed suit. I have been a omputer geek for 30 years and I hapen to understand that behind the scenes I should be able to configure almost EVERYTHING, and have many, many options. I hate big clunky icons that assume I'm not smart enough to figure things out. Like my new supposedly "smart phone" that has so few options it is really just a cool looking VT100 dumb terminal unless I down load a million specific "apps" to do each specific task... I call it a "Bimbo Phone" because it looks great but has limited functionality.

Agreed, DOS was so much better than Windows 3.1. The forum would be so much better if we went back to a DOS based interface.

The Iseki and Mitsubishi sections both have something wrong with the way they display the header bar and forum name. They overlap, both in charcoal/black color, so are not visible.

Yep, we are aware of that. Working on it.

We will work on reducing white space and tightening things up, but an 800x600 screen resolution is not large enough to view the forum. The forum is only compatible with 1024x768 or larger resolutions.

On the thread listing pages (forums), the thread content starts 55 pixels lowers on the screen than the old forum. 55 pixels is about 3/4". We can work to make it the same as the old forum, but it's really not that far off of what it was.

So, you walked outside this morning to jump on your favorite John Deere tractor and found it was PAINTED ORANGE!!!

WTH?!? you say to yourself...

You call your JD dealer and:
He says, "Yeah, we did it."
You say: "I don't like it."
He says: "It's on the list."

just sayin...

cut my teeth before 8086 (8088) was even offered for sale. back when people like zilog and the 8080 procs were coming out...

Another issue I just noticed...and I dont know if it just started or now, but I just seen it:

On a thread that hasnt had any new posts since you last visited it, that little blue arrow that skips to the last post is gone. Only option to get back into the thread is to click on the title and default to post #1.

Also, The yellow highlight is better , but I would prefer it the old way if possible, where the WHOLE like is yellow for an unread thread.

And we still have the time issue unless zoomed WAY out. No mention of this yet as "on the list"

And is it possible to delete what I have highlighted in red??? It clutters the main page up. Am I the only one that thinks this????

I guess you have to sign in every time.:)

Now thats really getting under my skin ... I sign in and then go to the shop for a couple hours and then come to check TBN and DAD GUM IT ... I have been signed out!!!

I've had to sign in several times today ... Can you fix that?

And I am still unable to use some of the icons ... like My Home ... ETC.

Are you checking the "Remember me" box before you click on the login button?

The stuff in red will be removed. It's "on the list"

The time issue as well, will be resolved. We have to keep tweaking text sizes, alignment, cell size, etc. Smaller screen resolutions is where it gets tricky to make everything look perfect.
