Forum Upgrade - Any Issues?

Well...I'm in the camp of liking the new forum look....except for two things.

No button to click for "new post since last visit"

No positioning inside threads to where you left off viewing when new post are added to the thread.

On Firefox, bottom 'Reply To Thread' button does not work. Haven't tried the iPhone yet, iPad seems ok now.

i notice when i post.. some of my info from my profile ( tractors I own ) spills into the text box, obscuring part of it.

also, I see the 'today's posts' button.. tha's how i found this post.. but is there also a 'new posts' button i am not seeing. IE.. in case I don't visit for a day or two?

etc?

i also notice my pc is not complaining about malware from this site.. yesterday morning norton was going crazy about something. no notifications yet this am.

The trans locational phase conductance fibrous lug torque fixating button no longer works...

Try resetting the fibulation relutor bisection locator adjustment. I find 20.2 reluctions works for me.:laughing:

That is NOT the problem! RobertN's flux capacitor is simply discharged. He connected his "Mr Fusion" incorrectly...

Please do not make this more complicated than it already it.

Wait till you hear about the problems with my "Tractor Beam" modifications...:confused2:

It's under "My Home", about half way down the page, on the left. I had trouble finding it too, the new design doesn't seem to be very intuitive.

Hi Everybody,

As you can see we have upgraded the forums with a new software version and new design (which will soon be carried out to all pages of the site). We still have a bunch of stuff on our to-do list but would like to use this thread for bug reports or any questions you may have.

We will address issues as quickly as possible and reply when we can. We will be tweaking the forum for days, if not weeks. The old version of the forum was four years old and had been optimized over that period of time.

It does seem harder on the eyes. The previous style was much easier to scan for posts of interest.

Having the sub-category (shown in yellow below) integrated with the thread title often pushes most of the thread title out of view in the overcrowded screen real-estate caused by the white-space (ad space) on the right.

The TBN Favicon seems to have been replaced with a VBulletin checkmark this morning on my computer here. Running FF13.0 on Win7 x64

i've also noticed it is now forgetting where i am at in a read post.

ie, if a thread is 12 pages long, for instance.. this thread. and if I make a post.. it goes to the last page. when I read this post, then go do something else, then get another notification, like when azclan posted after me.. when i got back to this thread.. it takes me not to the alst page where I had been.. but to the first page.

That's something we keep going back and forth on. Half of our users want it this way, half want it the old way. The problem with the old way was it didn't give you the option---and that led to people getting jumped back to the first unread post if they clicked to view an attachment. It was very annoying from that standpoint. The solution, if enough people really want to go back to the old way, is a toggle option in settings. We can work on that.
