Was reading this am, i either went to reply or click next page and BAM, white screen with TBN logo??? grrrrr

it's explained in another post. seems to be a java script hanging, blocking the rest of the stuff loading on the page...

Yea someone linked to the thread where it seems a few more folks know about that stuff. The first day i noticed it, seems like 2 weeks ago, i searched for a thread somewhere but just started my own after not finding one.

My screen looks normal except for the time i get a white screen and cant get on any forum. It seems to only happen in the mournings about every other day for me.
It seems as though there is a google-analytics.js file not loading, which is tying up the works, including a key CSS file. It doesn't help TBN is using "visibility: hidden" instead of "display: none" in their menus. If they made just that change, even this issue would be minor instead of the massive blank area we see now.
This is exactly why you are supposed to load javascript last, especially visitor tracking scripts. I hate knowing more than the people who make the websites I frequent
EDIT: Reset.css, default.css and dropdown.css are all getting hung up because the HTML cannot get parsed until the Js scripts complete, so the CSS doesn't take effect even if they are loaded.
We actually have a full redesign coming soon. Designers/programmers are working on it as we speak. :thumbsup:
As for this issue, it's javascript related, yes, but diagnosing exactly which one, where the conflict is, and why, has been a challenge.

Got me yesterday Yep. The first time I actually had a Tool bar that I could edit the page. And it worked. All the IE Ver. were listed on one tab except the ver. I use it's still under a trial ver. so there went the Guess of the Internet provider and not much of a doubt there working on the web site ect. The secound time White screen with two Options Forums and Home which niether worked.

that's why I like old tractors.. the only java issues are when I run out of coffee..
We just don't do "Mournings" here, we're a permanently optimistic crowd ...
(Some of us don't do mornings either BTW)
