Good morning!!!!

Thanks for pic comment, I was seated on my Deere and stopped mowing to take it, pic was with a 2 mp Blackberry camera so wasn't as sharp as it could have been, but it conveyed the meaning.

First glance at that 2nd pic in your post had me thinking you were out mowing and found a hand full of diamonds:D. Although they have been calling for TS's around here, we have lucked out and they have all past north or south of us. We could use some rain in our area as the pollen is getting bad.

Here in mid-Michigan it is almost unheard of to have a drought and the last one I can recall was several years ago. When I post on FB about the constant rainfall we often get here, many people ask me to send them some rain. As much of a PIB frequent rain is, it's easier to deal with than none at all.

David, hope it all works out for your family, as for the Carpal tunnel surgery, had the old fashioned kind done in '86...

Top,

My DR is the best Hand guy around my area, and he is actually darned good.

In 2009 he operated on my left middle finger twice to fix a long neglected injury from when I was like 14 and we had no insurance. He did the traditional carpal tunnel on my right last oct and he said it was one of the worst he'd seen. Recovery was a bummer, and I still can't use chopsticks...

We will do the "manos" procedure for the left, no stitches! should be interesting.

David

Going into the 70's here. Rained most of the night, pretty windy also. Gonna work for the wife this am, then hope I can get a few other things done today. Good luck, David.

David, about Carpal Tunnel...after about 23 years of swinging a hammer and doing other heavy work, both my hands began going numb and they got cold very easily. In '94 I had first one, then a second carpal tunnel operation. When I met with the doctor who was going to peform them, I asked him something really stupid: "Are you going to do both wrists at the same time..." The second operation something really weird happened, I must not have been out all the way and I recall the feeling of something going SNAP across my inside wrist like someone had a rubber band stretched across it and the band was cut.

They told me I was lucky to have almost full recovery from the loss of feeling because the nerve damage was so extensive. Shouldn't have put it off for so long.

Bill,

My situation with ym right was much the same. he said when he cut it it POPPED like an over stressed rubber band...

I was developing tendon issus across the back of my hand because it was so tight.

My left is not as bad, ad I'm not letting it get as bad. I was suppsed to do this in Dec, but my Harley crash caused a setback...

Thanks,
David

And it only got worse. I got a call at 1:30pm that my baby brother had killed himself very early Monday morning back in Oregon at my baby sisters house...

I feel like an IED just went off in my life today... He would have been 44 the end of this month, and I loved him dearly, troubled as he was I never saw this coming...

It is just wrong...

I am headed to Oregon on Monday it seems...

Be well, and tell those whom you love so they know it...

David
I only just saw this post now and I'm so sorry for your loss David, may God be with you through this tough time (I seem to remember you are religious).

Have a safe trip on Monday and I hope everything goes as well as it possibly can.

1st cup of java is half gone. Rolling for Hay at 0730.

65 headed to 85, humid as heck (I really hate sweating like a pig). The only really bad thing so far about getting older is my head suddenly developed sweat glands and I hate it when it drips off my eyebrows onto my glasses...

It is unfair that spring, VA's most awesome season was abrupt and early and the dog (humid) days of summer arrived May 1st!!!! that is 5-6 weeks EARLY.

The bugs are already brutal.

I'm busy with Hay today.

I might have a couple TBN folks come around Mossflower today to either help out with the hay, or gather compost, or cut open the "barn" door.

Should be interesting day regardless.

Be well all,
David

Good morning, all...47 degrees here and the sun is coming up. Was out until 9 pm last night mowing my northside acre for the third time this year, it's the quickest part to mow as it is so open with only three trees to mow around...the picture shows the Deere at the opposite corner of the lawn with the lights on, 170 paces away from where I took the picture. When I moved out here, this was a cornfield.

Cats are foaming at the mouth to get outdoors so I will quit rambling and take them outside...hope everyone enjoys their weekend...
