58 and sunny, 76 with showers predicted...
Much the same here Roy, with the exception of 14*C!

Only about 6-7*C here now. Will have to buy a thermometer for outside sometime so I can post accurate readings on here.

Good morning, all...47 degrees here and the sun is coming up. Was out until 9 pm last night mowing my northside acre for the third time this year, it's the quickest part to mow as it is so open with only three trees to mow around...the picture shows the Deere at the opposite corner of the lawn with the lights on, 170 paces away from where I took the picture. When I moved out here, this was a cornfield.

Cats are foaming at the mouth to get outdoors so I will quit rambling and take them outside...hope everyone enjoys their weekend...
Good job Bill and what you said was right, it would take me a while to get that done with my Mountfield, but it would still leave the same finish

I know it isn't morning any more (at least not in Scotland) but oh well, I'll post anyway!

It's a sunny and cloudy day here with showers and is pretty nippy.

I got out a couple of hours ago and weeded the flower beds, planted some seeds for climbers, took dead petunias out of the hanging baskets, and re-potted the basil plant on the kitchen windowsill as the roots were starting to grow out of the bottom.

Overall a pretty productive day, but I doubt I'll get anymore done outside with the weather turning the way it is.

Have a good Saturday!

Mid 70's but a cold front is dropping down this morning and we'll get northeast winds and cooler weather for a couple of days. I was just getting in love with the warm!

Your Mountfield would give a MUCH better finish cut than my Deere does, a smaller push mower chops up the grass clippings so much better. Look at the lower righthand corner of my pic you can see a lot of uncut grass because the tires press it down.

Good morning all. Looks like a decent day coming up. Still pretty cool though, high is forecast for only 11-13C today. Some cloud with hopefully a bit of sun. Yesterday we had a nice shower of: rain, snow, hail and sleet.

Very true, I never thought of that.

The wheels on my Mountfield do press some grass down too, but as I said in my email, I go over the grass so many times they get cut eventually.

I only just looked at the picture now and it is beautiful, I would get that printed, framed and hung on my wall, honestly.

The freshly cut grass, the barn, the lights of the JD in the background, can't beat it...

THIS one is what I would get enlarged, printed, and mounted.... Originally that yard used to be either a cornfield or an overgrown meadow...like the background shows.

I believe I asked you this before but of course I've forgotten what you said, so what do you use your land for ?

Oh, and that JD is a beauty, what year is she ?

Our 11 acres used to be part of what was a huge working dairy farm back from 1925-1964, the only real dairy in the entire Township. The owners sold off the property (about 180 acres) surrounding our 11 back in about 1973, my dad purchased the house and outbuildings then. Not sure how visible the milk bottle is, but it is embossed: E L Rikers Dairy, Bath Glass milk bottles from this farm sell for close to $150 if you can find one for sale !!

Deere is a mid-2002 model. 948 hours. 5 acres of our property is the lawn and garden area, another 6 are overgrown meadow with trees and ATV trails cut thru the meadow.

Wow, it must be bliss just having all that land for no particular reason but to enjoy it for your own personal purposes...

Hey, if you're stuck for who to leave it all to when you die I'm a willing beneficiary!

As for the JD she looks magnificent for a 10 year old model. You must have taken good care of her.

I remember when you posted a thread on LMF about reaching a milestone but can't remember what milestone that was... Care to remind me ?

Good Morning folks! Happy Sunday, the day of leisure, or in my case, gardening!

I had a bit of an "oh crap!" moment when I woke up half an hour ago as when I went to stretch after turning my alarm off my right arm went up but my left wouldn't move.

I eventually managed to coax it out of strike and concluded I must have laid on it during the night.

Apart from gardening later, I've got to make a fried breakfast for my mother and I in a couple of hours, just bacon, eggs, sausages, onion, mushroom, beans, fried bread - The standard fry up.

It is a superb day here, sunny without a cloud in sight (except for one which is going to go away very soon if it knows what's good for it), I'm not sure of the temperature though, but with sun like that I'm sure it'll be quite warm.

Coffee is in the cup and a rather fine cup it is, don't you think ? I bought it for 50 Pence/1 Dollar from a Goodwill style store last year. The inside is all the same colour as the rim.

Just went outside and it is about 7-8*C/46*F just now with beautiful sunny skies.

Although the garden looks fine the flower beds at the foot of the garden really need weeded.

Filled a new insulated coffee cup this morning. Does not taste the same. 50 degrees with clouds this morning. No Super Moon for us. Heading to 69 with some sun this afternoon. Going to wash the cars today. Need to get power washer out of storage. Then NASCAR.
Good Morning All.

Rained hard last night until past my bedtime, so no super moon for me either.

Today my brilliant eldest daughter gets confirmed and her first communion.

Be well all!

A chilly 46* but sunny here. The moon last night was spectacular! It was so bright I could have mowed the lawn and not needed headlights.
