I feel like an IED just went off in my life today... He would have been 44 the end of this month, and I loved him dearly, troubled as he was I never saw this coming...

It is just wrong...

I am headed to Oregon on Monday it seems...

Light flashes of cloud lightning awoke me in time to shut some windows.
I was not sleeping well, probably more due to the whiskey honestly.

I can hear the thunder booming now even in my basement office...
66 headed to 85 with intermittant thunder storms.

Of course I was SUPPOSED to go get a load of hay this afternoon, I need to pickup two loads at least, probably 65-75 bales total (maybe 3 loads) because my Hay supplier needs the space for the new crop (I've offered working the harvest with him, he seems open to that). The rain is 40-50% this afternoon, so looks like today will not work for a load of hay.

I just made the "barn" ready for hay storage with pallets set up across the entire back section, should be able to store over 100 bales (depending on how high I stack them). Biggest concern is that it is very dry clay dirt floor which generates lots of dust.

I will store my attachments in front of the hay, an the tractor just inside the door (soon as JonnyC1999 and LstInThot come over and help me cut the opening bigger on Saturday I think).

My oldest Daughter gets confirmed this Sunday (A big deal for us Lutherans, her first communion etc...).

Monday (I think) I leave for Oregon, I plan to stop in LAX and get my 26 year old son enroute, and head for my sister's place outside Portland...

The world seems a bit wobbly though...

Already drank first cup of coffee. 52 degrees this morning with some rain. Heading to 77 this afternoon. May have some severe storms. Did not get drive edged yesterday. But did put it on the to do list. Working on indoor projects.

Just returned from Dr. appointment for wifey and read this. David, you have my prayers and sympathy. A family members suicide can devastate survivors. Please do not hesitate to talk with profesionals. My first wife's older sister of two years killed herself mid 80's and it took a heavy toll on her resulting in her wanting to be alone something she still is 15 years after she served papers.

61 heading to 89 or so. It was VERY HUMID yesterday (yuck).

I cancelled the first load of hay pickup yesterday because of 50% chance of rain/T-storms 3pm to 8pm, which of course means they did not happen...

I will try to get the first load today so I can put up my hay before I leave for OR.

I booked my plane ticket yesterday, I need to book a car and hotel, and a ticket for my 26 year old son.

My brother and sister seem to already be bickering over "stuff" and who it belonged to and his ashes are just barely cool...

Today I have the pre-op meeting/appt with my hand surgeon for my Left hand carpal tunnel release scheduled for the 14th, myhand/arm is killing me. I am pushing for the less invasive, shorter recovery surgery because I simply can't do nothing for 6-8 weeks... We shall see how it goes...

Life is still wobbly... Much of yesterday I wanted to wake up and find it had all been a bad dream...
