This has been a problem for quite some time - and I am very surprised it has not been worked out by TBN.

So I am just wondering if you folks in the Yanmar section are getting your thread updates via email? If not, I think its only fair that the Advertisers know that users are not being driven back to the website.

If I sound cranky....I am. Its been since February IIRC since this has worked correctly. I also do not think changing my email address is a solution to a TBN problem. I can understand if an off the wall email address (@tiny.email.service.com) might get blocked from TBN, but AT&T?

I have been getting regular updates on threads. I think it is set up to only send one perupdated thread, and won't send another until I visit that thread even if there are multiple updates.

yup....That is very true.

My issues - among others :) and a whole bunch of other TBN'ers is we are not receiving ANY notifications.....its like removing an addiction LOL!

I gave up with AT&T frustrations and resorted to pulling them from my AOL SPAM folder. Figured that they would have found a solution by now but technology can be challanging. If you miss that one spam you will not be further notified.:(

I must have mine set to no updates i have never gotten one from this site. other than PM mesages. I do admit its kind of annoying to get the emails. I am a member at Hearth.com, i get an update email lettting me know someone has posted to a thread "i subscribe to" for every thread i start or respond to. You will get sometimes 30 emails per day. but i have not got any in weeks i have not been to the site in weeks. I need to figure out to turn it off so i dont get them. I will just check the site if im that interested in if someone responds to me. I check this site about daily sometimes 5x dialy be it but still i got to the forums i want on here and see the new stuff then get off.

Click the My home button, then select edit options under Settings and options Under Default thread Subscription Mode select Do not subscribe. This is what I have set and I do not get any emails except for Private messages.

I actually want to receive an email when a thread is replied too. I am not sure why this is an issue and I am not sure what if anything is being done about it

It's been 3 1/2 weeks for me this time, and its been off and on for a long time now, ever seince they made "THE UPGRADE"! :mad: :confused: :mad: AT&T

Have you gone to your "My Home" and clicked on view all subscriptions?
I have found that ones I have not read are yellow in color. You can right click and view them in new tabs from there. When your done, refresh the "My Home" page and the read ones will be gray. While your there, you might click the, "receive instant notification box ( check all box) on the right to see if you start getting instant emails again, if that's what you want.
Then the unread ones should be the only ones you see when you go to "My Home" and they will be yellow.
At least that is how it works for me, and much quicker than checking email all the time.

Clean your browser of history, temporary files, and cookies, then reboot before doing what I said above.
You may have to sign in again.

I just noticed I've been having this problem too, and might have figured out the cause.

I went into "My Home" and checked my subscriptions. They were there and were set for Instant email. So all good there.

Then I decided to double check my email address for my profile.
I went into "Edit your details" and clicked on "Edit email & password" I got an error message;

Message
A required field called Type of Member is missing or has an invalid value.


So right now I can't even change my email or password.

I think somethings broken. :(


EDIT: I just noticed there was another way to change your email/password. After going into "My Home" on the left hand side under "Settings & Options" is another button to edit email & password and this one works.

Unfortunately my email shows correct there, so I'm not sure what's going on now.

ok i did all the above and still getting tbn replys to threads on my email anymore sugestions.:confused:

Mark them as junk in your email and to block further receipt.
