God no martian, I wish it was so.

I was thinking WTH! Was going to go sell my 110 and have a Kioti dealer order me 2 of them DK40's with backhoes for that price! I was doing the math at 8 grand for a backhoe and 4 grand for a loader, you got that thing for $9k... No BH makes a lot more sense:thumbsup:

Well we are at the "dealing" stage,, He has made his offer, and I told him it was not good enough.. and he said he would get back to me Monday, (they close at 2:00Pm )to see if we can come closer together.. I may or may not be a member of the pack soon I just don't know..I am torn with keeping what I have and getting a much nicer tractor with lots more capability.. we shall see.

I hope you beat him into submission. You'll love the DK40se. I'm a little biased having owned one since they came out in 2007 (thank you Rick Wallace for talking me into it!). I still believe it is the absolute best bang for the buck out there when considering a tractor for six/seven foot implements and a monster loader. Mine has a Woods BH90x which is a perfect match too.

After four+ years I can only say that it is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I have no need for more horsepower but I'm very glad I don't have less. The loader is a dream and a monster at the same time. It has saved my hours and hours of work by just plain muscling stuff in a way my otherwise extremely competent CK20 with a 1070lb lift capacity loader just couldn't do.

The BH combo is excellent too. I know not everyone wants or can justify a BH but the Woods/Kioti match up is about perfect.

I sometimes dream about a cab but only on hot dusty days when mowing (and sneezing). I do too much brush work in the woods to think seriously about a cab but once the clearing is done it might be nice to have. Don't think I'll be in a position to upgrade but now is the time to be thinking about those things before prices shoot up. (I'd probably go for the 45 with a cab just to have extra power for the A/C, if I were getting another non cab it would be the DK40se again. Never felt I haven't had enough HP)

Koua, I don't know if this was answered but I have 15 hours on my new DK50 and the control placements are about perfect no issues with anything except for lever travel distance and that is almost no issue at all. I am used to pilot controls on the bigger equipment. I am very happy with everything, tractor has been used for moving dirt and snow almost for the full time. Just be aware if you are in hilly terrain and use the FEL alot HP is your friend. I can stall mine in low range using the loader hard. with that being said this tractor will take a fully loaded bucket out of a wet clay pit and walk out of it in midrange. I have ran a few 4X4 backhoes that would not do that. CJ Oh by the way it has been in the 80's here and the A/C works great!!

Me too. He is supposed to call with his final offer, but mentioned having to look around for tire loading guys, I said I would not accept calcium cloride. only rimguard, RV anti freeze or methanol mix in that order.. They did not seem terribly eager to sell real quick.. I felt like the first offer was not good enough..we shall see.

I don't think that anyone has brought this up, but you know what goes along with a bigger tractor, BIGGER implements. :mur: One thing leads to another and it will be tough to "get by" with the smaller, lighter duty stuff that you already have. :(

The weather is very nice and the tractors are selling so I don't know if a great deal can be made.My dealer had lots of machines in Febuary, now not very much. Good luck

True but used implements are readily available in six foot sizes. I also picked up a five foot Woods brushbull medium duty rotary for cheap money that I use for pure brush removal. Point is that while six or seven foot implements are nice, one can get along just fine with a mishmash of sizes and upgrade as opportunity and budget allows.

This is absolutly true, my point was that the DK40 is much more of a machine and that the implements that he has been using are not really up to snuff for the Kioti and that somewhere down the line different size-duty implements should be obtained.

You are right though, a person can "get by" with implements intended for waaaaaaay less of a machine than they are being used on, you just need to grow a pair of eyes in the back of your head, and you can't use the tractor up to it's potential. Then I would start 2nd guessing about why even bother getting a bigger machine at all.

But then again this is just me and I know that A LOT of guys get by with what they have. ;)
