will a chamois remove water and contaminants from fuel? a friend stopped by that pulls with an alcohol powered cub cadet tractor and the conversation turned to fuel contamination (enhancing) at the competitions and they (officials/inspectors) are using chamois to filter the fuel to prevent unfair advantages in addition to removing water, IE: I do not feel like sleeping on the couch for ruining a good chamois to find out if it is true or not! feedback- personal experience?

Me. I read about in when I was little in a children's book. In the story the father was able to filter the water laden fuel in his boat to get himself and his children back to shore. Funny how you remember things from 45 years ago when something like this pops up. Of course I have never actually seen this work.
