Thank you. It is from ramsplitter.com. 16 ton 3 point version. I do really like it. You can buy them direct, but they also list them on eBay and if you are patient, you can get quite a deal. They are very good to work with.

Feeling very productive today on the day "off".
1. Built a pallet firewood storage and transport. (stolen idea from someone here)
2. Filled and test the unit. Worked great!
3. Made my "ain't pretty, but it works ballast station.
4. Now I am waiting for 6 inches of snow that may be coming our way, so I can finally use the tractor for snow removal.

Think I will take a nap while I wait...

Maybe tonight you should get 10-12" snow if not starting already. I was planing the same with heavy rerod weld to angle iron cage for firewood on a 3/8 Diamond plate base I have that could double for ballast drum. (Quick Pins on angle to diamond for firewod cage. Could use black pipe sides if need be stronger)

Loaded the tractor and hauled it 35 miles to our future homestead. Raked with the new ratchet rake and pulled two large stumps. RR works fine.

Thanks Redsox. If my math is correct, just over 1/3 of a cord. 4x4x3 = 48. A cord is 128 sq feet I believe. The design worked very well. 4 pallets screwed together, with a couple of 2x4 to give it a bit more structure.

That second photo of yours is amazing. Not a tree around and that's a long view. Heck, -29C ought to be a real treat with nothing to block the wind.

This is a very good thread! The Good Morning thread is good for saying what you want to do in the day, and this would be good to say what you actually got around to doing.

For me, it was nothing to be honest. Been windy all day and it is a Saturday, so oh well!

At least it is warm and not cold.

I bottled 10 gallons of beer. One five gallon bucket was a Belgian Triple and the other was an Imperial Brown Ale. One batch took 25 22 oz bottles along with 4 12 oz bottles. The other batch was 25 22 oz bottles and 5 12 oz. Now I have to wait another week to let them carb up. I did try some of the Belgian which was pretty good. I have made it before. I should have tried the Brown Ale since this was the first time brewing it.

I really hate waiting.

Been awhile since I've been back here. My last post were regarding my towable back hoe. What did I do today? I finally got off my can and installed a rear hitch lift to my cratfsman garden tractor. After two doctor visits over rotater cuff injuries I decided to make life easier for myself when plowing and using the grader blade. It's been foggy here in southwest Va. all day, figured I might as well do something productive in the shop.

Frustrated with lack of snow in MI when I was so prepared this year over last. (Had plastic fuel can pieces blocking fuel tank outlet all winter with heavy snowfall 2010). Decided to reverse backblade and drag a path in 4" of snow around perimeter acre of yard so our three Chows do not come in with snowballs on their long coats. (I know itis going to be 46 here tomorrow):confused2:
Must of looked foolish with rear chains and backblade clearing a path in 4" snow for the dogs but it was fun. Oh, the dogs still came in full of clinging wet snow balls but they stay on the path when first let out, as if they did not want to get their paws messy, then they saw the squirrels.:laughing:

worked on one of my projects until it was dark, so to do some housework.:thumbsup: Housework went straight down the drain when I got the wrong canister that was missing the label and began to wash the floor with hydraulic oil instead of soap I have now written what is on the jug and put it somewhere else!
