Congratulations on the new Mahindra!:cool: I think the Deere felt relief when it saw the Mahindra, not fear. ;)

Wasn't sure if the grapple could hold onto a round bale until trying it. After one re-grab, had no problem carrying it out into the pasture. Then decided to start piling a few logs that were still laying around the front yard. No problem! Rob

Really nice tractor. What was the price?

The little old John Deere came out to see what the commotion was all about, only to be chased back under it's own shed by the new Mahindra (see pics)

Thanks folks! Thus far I find no faults with it. It cost over 30,- well over my original budget. Still, I think it was the right choice, all things considered. Time will tell though.

Cederstrand,
Nice little tractor you got there.;) Glad to see you went RED. I take it when you said the JD will be on barn duty, that means hauling out the poop?
What size bucket did it come with? Can I come out and try your grapple out? That is the style I want to buy.
hugs, Brandi

That's just a cool lookin' tractor. I love those big front wheels/ tires. And the whole design. I thought I might be getting a 4035 (when I ended up getting my L3940), but the dealer was kinda lackin' (didn't seem too interested; no models on site).

Ya know, that is what bothers me about Mahindra. My dealer gives great service:thumbsup:, but I have heard too many times that someone's dealer "was kinda lacking".:( That just gives a great tractor a bad name.
What is wrong with these dealers?:confused2: The outfit I get Stihl and Hustler parts and service from tells me they can not get good skilled help. There is a shortage of skilled labor. Seems everyone is afraid of getting dirty at work.

@ Brandi, my dealer initially tried selling me one a 5530 or 6530 which he had on the lot, until I told him I was interested in a 5035. So he gave me a price on one. I e-mailed this dealer with a counter offer and by the time I dropped in on him a day or two later, he had already filled out the paperwork and said it would be there the next day. Maybe I should have offered less?
Rob ps: you're welcome to do grapple work on the ol' farm here anytime. I don't pay in cash, only in tractor hours.

Firt issue with tractor: Noticed the heater light wasn't coming on and it seemed niether was the heater itself. Mechanic came out within a couple hours and discovered the problem. Ready for this? It was "unplugged!" I'm so glad it wasn't something major. There was a loud "pop" after plugging it in, but everything seems to work ok. Will be putting it back to work tomorrow.

I had a problem like that recently - totally unrelated to tractors (it was actually a hot tub) but after they delivered and put in the right location, but then I had to fill it up and get it going. To my surprise hardly anything worked because about half of the wires were delivered to me unplugged! Seems like that would be the easiest thing to see is wrong going through quality inspection:confused:

Glad your loving it though, every time I come back to this thread I laugh because of the pictures and your story:laughing:
