Wow! How many man hours? Plexiglas? A hard door Curtiss is about 4 grand-I assume your motivation was.."I can do it better?"

over 100 hours but enjoyed doing this very much. all of the glass is the same as the winshield of a car or truck, laminated safety glass. even sprayed it with the latest waterborne ppg auto paint and clear that we had just switched over to at our collision repair center. i sealed all the welds inside and out with fiberglass and urathane sealer. full weatherstripping all over. only air leak is around control levers. next project is a heater with fresh air intake.

thanks. loud enough that im not instaling a radio. hst is quite loud i find. i sometimes use ear plugs when using it over an hour.

If you haven't yet, you might want to apply some sound deadening material to the metal surfaces.

thanks. yes rops is removed and built cab frame out of thick wall square tubbing for safety. this cab is very solid.

I have been thinking of building a cab but not nothing as nice as this, I was thinking of just making one out of 2x4's and plexy glass with one door that i could just put on during the winter and remove the rest of the time. Has any one made a cheap smiple cab like that?

thanks. hinges are comercial stainless steel with needle bearings. same found on doors at grocery stores and similar places.
