I made up my own Meyer setup a few years ago. The pictures from last winter speak for themselves. The additional remotes, front and rear, run the logsplitter and angle the plow.

The exact point I was making about the difference between frame mount, and FEL mount.

People that live in heavy snow regions find the limitations of snow removal equipment rather quickly.

Thanks for sharing the photos

ihfarm here are some pics of the mount. I will be mounting some mushroom shoes on the back of the mount to protect the cylinders if i use the loader in full float. ray
I do like that setup, but it wont work on my SSQA tractor.. I have a lower torque bar that would get in the way of the two angled braces you have.

Here is what I came up with. I used an old plow that I actually used as a kid on a ford 8N. It was made from a water heater. I welded on a blank plate for my Q/A and now have a Q/A snowplow. I have some ideas for some additional add ons that when thought out AND they work I will post.

Magicheater,
I love the k.i.s.s. solution.
I have an 8' fisher blade with no frame and a rounded cutting edge in my junk pile.
Cut down to the width of my tires and mounted flat like your water heater might be perfect!!
Thx for the idea

nice setup..but the only scary part is there is no breakaway springs... you can possibly hurt the arms if you hit an ice patch??

Thanks! That is a very sturdy looking frame. What is the size of the channel or tubing used for the bottom? Are the uprights on the front of the plate for reinforcement?

I thought about that, since I don't plow commercially and know my driveway, plus the fact that I don't plow at breakneck speeds I think I will be ok. Would be the same as using your bucket edge as a lot of folks do but with less leverage. This will be used in concert with my box blade so I can plow both forward and reverse. For a really big snow the big guy gets the nod!
