Nice job. You should be proud. What kind of cutters did you use. The '' Y " kind?

Very impressive build. It simply amazes me to see some of the projects that pop up on this forum. Well done!

Thanks for the kind words:)
Yes, these are the cutters, "Y". Initially, the rotor had a vibration, but we gave it to the balancing service, and is now very well even with 1000rpm PTO!
But it is still a small problem to solve: Cuts of plants wrapping around the rotor slots -in narrowing next to bearings. I will have to installed there some type of cover.

A steel ring larger than the bearing with a plate on one side, similar to a cup welded to the rotor and spaced as close as you can to the side plate might help get rid of some of the grass wrapping around the bearing.

Very nice. I knew Porsche made tractors but I never saw a Ferrari tractor.

I'm glad you like it :)
I already solved the problem with the grass wrapping around the bearing.

Very nice. I knew Porsche made tractors but I never saw a Ferrari tractor.

I have seen in Italy a real Ferrari tractors. It's a different company than the cars Ferrari, but called the same. They produce a green compact tractors :)

Hi, Dobar Dan Dimauf :)
Unfortunately, I do not have a draft of this mower. We had only a general concept, and the details we invented during the works. But if you have questions, I will try to answer.
I found some pictures taken during construction:

Dzień dobry :)
I saw your video on joutube few months ago, great that you've started to make themselves the Flail mower. I thought to begin in the spring to build on this Flail mower. But I see that the only problem to solve the rotating cylinder.

Once again, congratulations on this work. :)

PS

Thanks for the picure! What are the dimensions of tube?!

The rotor is the most difficult part to do. I don't remember the dimensions of the tube. Tomorrow I will be measured.

I couldn't tell from the video, but it appears the outboard bearing is inside the mower, rather than outside the housing. Moving it would require narrowing the cutting width by an inch or so, but would reduce the amount of weeds wrapped around shaft that get into the bearing.

You said you fixed that problem, but you didn't say how...

Left (belt drive side) bearing is outside the housing. Right bearing is inside the housing. This allows easier removal of the shaft, and simplifies construction - no hole on the right side of the housing. What's interesting - more grass wrapped around the shaft on the left side (where the bearing is outside). The space between the shaft and housing, "pull" the grass. I solved this problem in a simple way: mounted at the ends of the shaft a leather covers (leather from an old mining belt for trousers ;)). Leather covers are attached to the shaft with steel bands and obscure space between the shaft and housing.

Sorry for my poor English ;) In school I had only Polish and German. I learn to English and Russian only from foreign websites and conversations with foreigners.

Very nice work, but I have to comment on two things; your dad (or whomever the gentleman was) didn't mind resting his foot right above that rotating cylinder, or grabbing a rotating PTO shaft with his hand. Both were pretty careless imho. I guess there were no warning labels installed on it yet lol!!

My other comment is do you have any way to adjust the belt tension? I saw no idler pulley and it didn't look like either of the shafts (rotor as you call it) look to be adjustable to take up the slack. The belts will stretch some after use, and they may slip when you are cutting some heavy brush.

Oh, you exaggerate! :) My dad checked that the machine does not vibrate during operation. I don't see anything dangerous.

Belt tensioner is at the upper shaft, next to the pulley (weakly seen in the video). Under the gearbox are placed the washer - that the two shafts are parallel.

The way it is set up, adding a belt tensioner would be easy enough, but it appears he has already gotten that taken care of.
Learning English the hard way, via the internet, where the slang from each area shows up, plus the internet only things, like LOL, etc. Got to commend you for that!
