Help! Work crew here...BX wont budge!

Yes, that locks the front & rear wheels together but if used improperly it can cause problems you describe and must be fixed by the dealer. It stops spinning of one rear tire while the other has traction but should never be engaged while turning.

I have never touched that lever to my knowledge, and I have no kids old enough to have messed with it. I suppose it is plausible it got bumped while the wheels were turning.

Front axel is not Hydo just axel lube. In 2 wheel mode it should not be an issue.
I am going to my BX25 to try options/get manual out from under seat.

It should be difficult to move in gear and don't move it very much because this can damage the hydro.

No problem. If used you would remember as it takes some effort to engage it.
When in 2 wheel, low gear and forward depression does it do anything? Stall?
What about when you try to go in reverse?

might the 3pt/mower deck lever NOT be back in middle. On my bx23 it doesn't auto return to middle after raising implement and results in poor fel lift and movment till in middle.

2 wheel, low gear and forward (or backward) depression it does nothing, no stalling, and the pedal does feel a little 'weird'. You can tell by the engine and tranny sound that pushing fwd or reverse puts NO load on either.

Make sure all levers are fully moved to proper locations and speed set is in unlock position.

DIAGNOSTICS COMPLETE: I figured out what is wrong..now how to fix it. I raised the tractor up by the FEL, put blocks under the wheel and locked the FEL (just passing along my safety procedures ) and could thus get the guts to REALLY inspect the linkages, and sure enough, way toward the back, there is a little bolt that attaches the linkage to the rotating arm that engages the tranny. Looks like that nut can just rattle off over time, which it did, and the linkage is no longer connected - explaining all the symptoms. Thanks to all for all your ideas. The first reply ended up being the correct one.

NOW - how to reach up there and reconnect. there is almost no room to work with.

Anyone had this happen? what size is this now long gone nut? Any clues on how the h - e - double fish stick I'm going to be able to get this nut back on?

Normally a neutral spring attaches to adjusting nut. Is this the one missing?
