just bought a used 2003 Kubota bx2200 2 of the hydraulic hoses needed to be changed, had them made up and switched them out, put in new oil everything appears to be fine,, but the bucket will not raise.. anything else I need to do.. the bucket will not raise. is there a need to bleed the line, or pressure? any help would be appreciated thanks:)

What 2 hoses did you replace?. If they both to the same cylinder, you may have them coonect to wrong ends of the cylinder (switched) so 1 cylinder is trying to raise, the other trying to lower thus canceling each other and hydraulics going over relief.

Thanks, they are on correct one is to the power steering and the other to the bucket. could it just be air in the lines?

Do you by any chance have quick disconnects on these hoses? If you do, unhook them and rehook. Make sure plenty of hydraulic fluid. It will push the air out on its own by running loader up and down or tilting bucket.

I highly recommend a hyd gage install in your hyd system. Cost about $30. It will help you to monitor and trouble shoot the hyd system.

When you activate the steering, does it work. That pump fluid is going somewhere, you need to track it down.

When you try and raise the bucket, does the relief go off, or squeal?

Does the Power steering squeal when wheel is turned to the stop?

Did you remove both hoses and get replacements, or get new replacements and then replaced the hose.

The pump flow probably goes to a priority valve, and divides the fluid sends a set amount to the steering, and the rest to the other hydraulics.

How about some pictures.

Which hoses did you replace?

The steering valve may be bypassing fluid to tank.

After the hose and fluid change have you run it enough to fully circulate all the fluid. HST and the Three Point also.

Well just blew another hose urg..... so it be a few days before we will try the loader again.. thanks everyone for the help..

I am thinking you need to check all the hoses for correct placement. Maybe the hoses are deteriorating from use.

Did the hose blow when all the valves were in neutral? What were you doing at that time.

The other hose blew, it was in neutral.. now trying to get the hose off.. we just bought it used hopefully their isn't other problems with it.. thanks..

If the hose blew while in neutral, then you have a hose connected wrong. There is little pressure in neutral. If you dead head the pump by connected a hose wrong, then expect something to blow up, hose, valve, pump, etc. Whatever the weakest part of the system.

Finally got the hoses changed.. still no hydraulics on the front or the back.. they were working before the hoses were changed. there is no pressure building up.. possible the pump went out? or doing something else wrong..
new to this tractor maybe not engaging it right?

Take another look and determine if the pump is even pumping.

Is the fluid level correct?

Is the pump primed?

If it blew a hose, it was primed and generating volume and pressure.

If the hoses are connected wrong, you will perhaps blow a hose or valve

Can you follow the hose from the pump to either the divider valve , if it has one, or to the FEL? In order to see pressure on a pressure gage, the gage will have to be in a circuit that will generate pressure like a cyl or hyd motor.

If the engine is turning, the pump should be pumping.

Does the hose blow as soon as you start the engine, if it does, check the routing of the hoses.

Try this, remove the end hose going to the FEL, and place in a clean bucket, and start the engine briefly, if you have flow, you can assume that the pump is pumping.

Did you see everything work before you bought the tractor, if so, then it must be something you did.

Thanks for the great info, will do these tests and see what happens may be a few days before can get the time to check it out... will let you know what happens. Thanks Nessie

PS.. the hoses were busted when the tractor was bought, but did manage to see the bucket lift briefly... urg! thanks Nessie:confused:

If the hoses were busted when you got it, perhaps they were on wrong to begin with? Check them against a diagram to see if they are all connected right. Double check any quick connects. Make sure there are no levers stuck.

My brother had the loader off a tractor to rebuild the engine... it took longer than expected and when he finished the engine, it all checked out okay and then he put the loader back on. He got two of the hoses connected wrong and the bucket went full curl and then relief popped. He switched the hoses to the correct way and still has the problem, he will probably need to split the case to figure it out (valves are inside trans on old white tractor).

Sorry you're having trouble. Does it work now?

One thing to check, if it doesn't, is to see if the hose ends crimped on your new hoses are actually machined out. I know that this sounds weird, but it does happen.

If there's no hole in the middle, then it won't flow oil.

I would check the following.

Hose from pump goes to the P port.

The T port routes the cyl expended fluid to tank.

The PB port routes fluid flow to another valve in series.

The work ports connect different for different tractor.

Top of page 2, cyl port connection.
