/ General question #21
It is pretty well known what the speed of light is. About 186,000 miles per second.

Who knows what the speed of "Dark" is?? :D:laughing:

We can measure, by the red shift, the universe is expanding.

The universe is expanding.

WHAT is the universe expanding INTO?

Will the universe continue to expand? (Answer depends on how much Dark Matter exists)

If the universe does not continue to expand, then supposedly it will stop, and contract into another Big Bang.

What would the universe Big Bang into? :D

Since a Black Hole gobbles up everything that falls into the Black Hole, where does that mass/energy go? How can something be made into nothing? (We are talking physics, do not go off the deep end and bring Congress into the discussion!:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:)

DeereDude and Ground Cover each have it part right (IMHO). Just ONE alien (I chose to call him "God") sitting around one day thinking "wonder what I can do that would be fun today"?

Why isnt there nothing?

Dan, I saw a special the other night where physicists, who would tend to laugh at idiots like me who would ask "what happened before the Big Bang" are taking a new look at what happened before the big bang.

As is turns out, and I don't remember the details now, they are considering a scenario where what happened before the big bang is happening right now.
