i cut for a church 5 - 6 acres and about a 300 stone cematary. i have always used cub cadets an 1863 that is blowing oil back into the air cleaner and my spare 782.. last weekend i price a bx2360 w/a 54'' deck for $12???. then i was reading that the bx1860 has a 3'' smaller wheel base which mite be better for cutting around the stones. so i priced a bx1860 w/bar tires for the hillside a 48'' deck, fel, for $11459. would the 1860 be enough for the amount of ground there is or would i need to go with the 2360?

I feel with 5 to 6 acres of regular mowing, you'd at least want a 54" deck. It might be a little more inconvenient in the cemetary. Maybe you could get the 54" deck on the 1860?

:thumbsup:If you are only needing a mower ,why not consider a commercial zero turn? It would mow close to the stones ,mow faster, and turn much quicker.

a 54 would be nice but spacing between some of the spacing between the stones will not let me.

If the OP has been mowing with Cub Cadets, the BX1860 will be an amazing change. A 48" deck on that tractor will be a huge upgrade.

I like the BX1860 with 54'' mower idea but an 1860 with a 48'' mower is a winner also.

What did you decide to go with?

I know someone that mowed for a cemetery, and they bought water cooled John Deere riding mowers. They couldn't make regular air cooled riding mowers last very long. They also bought smaller decks to fit between the stones. I think you will be happy with a BX for your mowing.

A front-deck machine like a Walker, or Stiga Park-Pro 4wd, would probably be your best choice IMO.
