Ball hitch for BX 3 point

I know this has been discussed before, but I'm having trouble finding the link on the forum. I have a new BX2360 and I need to mount a traditional ball hitch onto my 3 point hitch to tow a wood splitter. I've been borrowing a receiver style hitch from my neighbor that fits my truck, but he asked for it back yesterday and I've got a lot of wood to split this weekend. Long story but the splitter is also borrowed and I need to keep it in the garage when not in use. I'm hoping tractor supply has something that will fit my 3 point hitch so I can mount it by Saturday - forecast calls for a little rain this weekend and the splitter is already outside. What products will work for this application? Thanks.

Forgot to mention - I don't think simply mounting a ball on the ball plate in the back will work since it sits too low for the splitter.

The cheapest solution and the only one that I know of that TSC carries is the draw bar. That plus the appropriate ball will get you going. The problem with it is it will tend to roll as it does not tie to the upper link. You can also buy a lock to eliminate the rolling. With out it if your hitch on the splittler will lock over the ball, you will probably be ok, but causes it to bang around when stopping or changing directions.

I bought the one from TSC and didn't really like using it so eventually bought one like the one shown below. I was able to find a dealer that sold it on a road trip so avoided the shipping, but I really like it compared to the basic draw bar.

I would like to tow my splitter to where the trees are and use the thumb on my BX23 backhoe to retrieve logs...

I think the cheapest solution is to go buy a hitch for the truck. It seems that towing with the truck has been working thus far.

Yeah, but towing with the truck is a pain....all I can see behind me is that little flag blowing in the wind. It would be a lot nicer to use the tractor so I can actually see where I'm going backing up.

for the guy with the backhoe, on ebay you can get a grill guard with a 2" receiver built in.

And for using a drawbar with a ball I bolted a piece of 1/4" steel to the bar and where the tension chains attach on each side. I move my boat around with it and it works great.

There is a member here on TBN that made his own mount for his BX24. I cant remember his name but he was from Middleboro, MA and the adapter he made was blue in color. Was a really slick unit. Went into the arm of the BH. He also fabricated a lever to move the BX24 forward and backwards while in the BH operators possition. It went into the empty slot on the right fender.

I bought the BX24 receiver with the hope it would fit my BX23... the manufacturer thought it would but never tried one on a BX23...

The clearance must be different because it does not fit my BX23...

I also bought the front tie down points... also does not fit the 23 although I can adapt them easy enough.

I had a ball mount made for my BX1500 with the proper raise to pull my log splitter. A guy on Ebay custom made it for me. I went out and measured what I needed and he made it, 1/2 inch steel, powder coated, he did a great job, exactly what I needed, it was $36 with shipping. He will make it for whatever ball shaft diameter you need and has a 1/4" anti spin hole in it. He had a UTUBE video and will make anything drop/rise you need. This info might be too late you. I assembled this 3-pt hitch for about $70. I bought the draw bar from Tractor Supply and had a local welder fab the H bracket. It's good for light duty stuff like wood splitters. And I can swap it back and forth between a BX25 and B3030.
