I would never make that broad a statement. Deere like everyone else drops the ball on parts.
Have you experienced that?

Stuff breaks, regardless of brand. Most every brand offers quality. Not every brand also offers high resale values, great parts support, online access owners/service manuals, dealerships in most markets, a full line of equipment, etc. Some brands offer more of these attributes than others, but no other brand offers them all like Deere. Certain ones may be more important to some customers than others, and that's why we don't all buy the same thing.

I guess my question is if the Green stuff is so great why is so much of it breaking!!!:confused2:
Why because we use them for more than mowing yard.... Everything from digging ditches, snow removal and removing turbines from air planes. Stuff happens and it is nice to know that it can be fixed within 24 hrs.... Not always the case for my friends over in camp orange, blue and red. It is no bog deal when you do not need it right away, but when they are an integral part of your business it is important.
Have always loved how quick people are to bash Deere.
Try waiting a month for an orange part, just not acceptable in todays world.

We see bigger problems with product that was outsourced having long parts delays and crazy prices, and from companies unwilling to make the investment in having parts on hand. The complex international relationships involved in this business make parts availablity much more complicated than saying one brand is better than another. For example, CNH makes the hay equipment parts 30 minutes away form us... they are cheap and easy to get... however if a "Made in the USA" / Shibaru compact needs a rarely used wiring harness you'll either need to wait a bit or pony up for air freight.
All that said. Our fill rate for having parts that our customers need in our own stock floats around 90% so I don't think I'd say any vendor is really doing a poor job.
