Security & Theft Tractor insurance?

Can I buy some kind of insurance for my tractor like auto insurance? For what I paid I would like some piece of mind should something happen. Thanks for your replies.

I have mine insured, I just called my insurance agent and they added to my policy I have for my acreage

I'm not of any real help, but i put my tractor under the business insurance.
i do agree that you should have some kind of coverage. protect your investment.

Yes, contact your insurance agent . He can advise you whether to issue a seperate policy or put a rider on a current policy . Insurance on my tractor was not to awfully expensive .

i have my tractor insured for fire an theft.anything im pulling is also insured as long as its on the tractor if something happens.it cost me $130 a year for the ins.

When I first bought my tractor had had it out on my land (20 miles from my home) by itself quite often. I checked with every local insurance company and none of them had a separate policy to cover it. I don't know why that is just what I was told. Those were some very nervous times driving out to the land and going around the corner just praying and looking to see if it was still there.

When I built a home and moved out here the tractor was added to my home owners policy. As long as I only use the tractor for my personal home use (non commercial) it will be covered for theft. If I take my tractor to my business and it is stolen there I have no coverage.

Just my experience... don't know if that applies everywhere.

In my experience it is cheaper getting quotes online. Some of the bigger companies offer discounts when ordering online, because it is less work for them. But to be safe you could compare quotes online, pick the best offer and try a local agency to see if they can match it or do better.
