Ok, good to know. Must be a better deck design than my old JD. I'd have 2" of buildup around the blades in fairly short order. If I didn't hose it out every time, I'd be under there with a scraper after it dried because it would stop throwing the clippings out properly and start acting like it was a mulcher.

Our JD425 was like that. Sometimes if cutting damp grass, we would have to clean it out several times while mowing. Our JD 2305 doesn't do that and is no more trouble than our BX2660.
