Looks like another 6" or so for the mid-Atlantic states later this week. Good practice for CompactTractorFan. Gotta get good before you start begging for Nor'easters.:laughing: You're probably hoping for another winter like last year, when we got 3 storms in the 18"-24" range. I hope I never see another winter like that again. You'll find out the limitations of that BX real quick.

Is that 6" Friday? We have relatives coming on the weekend from upstate PA and they keep complaining about how there is no snow...I'll take a Nor'easter any day. I WOULD like another winter like last year. I'm sure the BX could handle it; we did with shovels...:thumbsup:

Yep, that 6" is going to hit me in Indiana on Thursday. Can not wait. Have more coming Saturday and Monday if the weather man is right.

Hey Andy -- I'm not far from your (Hershey, PA).
I'd much rather have a winter like last year than the two winters before when we got mostly ice storms. I can at least move the snow. The ice is a major PITA.

Last winter was rough. I've got a steep driveway and of course the starter on my tractor needed to be pulled and rebuilt when I was supposed to be plowing. Had to get my neighbor to dig me out with a tracked skidloader after that second storm in February. Not that I was going anywhere, because the road I live on was impassable for the entire week. But I agree, snow is much easier to deal with than ice.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I got my drive nicely cleared, headed to work and got...maybe a 1/4 mile.
After about 90 minutes-two hours, a front end loader (chained all 4 wheels) cleared the road enough so I could get back home.
I was lucky enough that a man clearing his drive (with a walk behind blower) cleared in front of my truck so I could get on his drive for those 90-120 minutes.
We were pretty accessible after two days though.

Our weather people are bragging now they were right; we are getting 9"-12" of snow today/overnight...The other day they said we would get some sleet/rain...:confused2:

Just noticed your post so I hope you came up and had some good bunny running. I live in Lancaster not far from Jefferson but I think they got more snow then us.

week and a half ago the dogs were swimming up to their necks in the stuff up country (5+ miles of running), last weekend down here was pretty good (6-8-inches on top of crust.....

Probably heading back up your way on Sat.....(gluten for punishment..!!)....as long as it's not 32 below 0.....:laughing:
