I too just purchased a new L4400HST and would like to add a rear remote. Does anyone know of a kit so I can install it myself. Want to add a hydralic downforce kit to the PHD.

My search lead me to the post above and many others and could not find the "factory kit" part numbers. I called around and have been given (2) different kit numbers.

The more confident dealer thought it would be a L8561 base kit and L8303 valve.

I should have gone more indebt to say I am looking for the factory part numbers for a single rear remote to add on to the L4400HST. And any insight on a good online source for the kit parts.

Here is a PDF of the outlet options. The valves, a hoses and levers are on separate pages.
Pick between the valves on pages 297 or 298(# at the bottom).
Then choose the kit for the first lever on page 299(# at the bottom).
Then choose the kit for the first coupler and hoses 305(# at the bottom).

I just added a rear remote to my L3400, built from scratch since no "kit" was available. Turned out quite a bit cheaper, about $650 for the all the bits and pieces including hoses.

Keep in mind that a hydraulic down force kit for a PHD is a single acting cylinder and you will need a separate return line to your tank. One hose from your rear remote and one hose directly returns to your tank. ;)

Using a single action cyl, you only use one hose, and plug the B port. The other option is to add a hose to the B port on the valve and run it to tank.

Make sure you are looking at the right parts. From the whole goods list. The Y/N column is labeled stackable.

JJ, on a hydraulic down pressure kit for a post hole digger there are 2 hoses. One for the pressure side of the hydraulic and one for the return of the constant flow of hydraulic fluid that can be constantly flowing to the pressure side so as to have a constant even pressure on the auger while digging. I have no doubt that this is actually some sort of safety feature, but none the less it is what the factory down pressure kits have for a PHD. ;) Scroll down to section 4 and diagram 4-6 shows the pressure line and the return line. Sorry for my poor pictures, but when I took those I was not trying to get the hoses for any specific reason.

Thanks, I understand now. They are using the relief valve to allow down pressure of 500 psi on the cyl rod , and any thing over that is relieved to tank. They don't even need down pressure if the ground is soft.

Did anybody notice this from the manufacture:

Install hydraulic plumbing using Teflon tape to seal pipe threads.

Are the Teflon police around?

:D:D:D:laughing::laughing::laughing:;) I guess that Land Pride must be a second rate company if they suggest and USE Teflon TAPE. But this road has been gone down before and we don't need to go down it again, and again, and again. ;)

Correct, no need to always use the down pressure, but when you need it it's there and boy does it work great. One of these days I'm going to hook up the PHD to our crane and weight scale and see how much actual down pressure there actually is.

The PDF files are for the L4400HST-1 series and are stackable to a maximum of 3.

I'm still on the fence for using the factory parts vs some surplus center parts. I still thinking I might be able to install the Prince setup under the factory coverplates and get the handles to locate in the factory location next to the pto lever. I just really like how the factory parts look and I think I might get the handles from Kubota and mate them to the prince valves.

Has anyone used the factory hydraulic location under the set to tap in their prince valves? Most of the ones I have seen havee ran hoses up to the FEL connections to add their valves.

Is there a specific recomendation of a dealer or board promoter that has good parts pricing to ship the needed parts to my door?

If you were to fill out your profile a bit better, then someone might be able to recommend a great dealer in your area. But most don't care to list every dealer and hope that one is near you. Yes there are several, Barlow's and Messick's come to mind and both post here on TBN.

Update my profile and my local dealer has not always been known to have the best prices. I was thinking if I was going to install the parts myself and since they are light I might as well order them from across the country and have them shipped in.

I've called three dealers in my area and they have all just quoted retail cost for the parts.

Barlow's is hard to beat for pricing and they have no problem shipping, in Kentucky I think. I am not a Kubota guy, but if I was, these guys are who I would be buying from. ;) Please let us know if and how this works out for you. Someone in your area may know some other dealer that sells at reasonable prices, I can only recommend from what I have read on TBN.

Thanks for the info. From looking at the factory kit it attaches to a block under the rear seat and only has 2 lines coming from it. I assume this is strictily a power beyond port that install the factory valve in series.

What I would like to find is a plate to attach hoses directly to this same port area that would allow me to add a prince valve instead of the factory valve.

Then I would not need to take the power beyond from the loader valve to input the new rear remote valves and then another house back up to the loader block for a t-eed in tank return and another hose to reconnect the power beyond from the new valve to the loader block.

Does anyone know the center to center spacing between the prince valve stacks? ie the distanct between each handle? I am trying to concluded if a 3 valve stack will fit under the Kubota factory handle area.
