TSC comes to the city

I have been complaining for a few years how the city has moved out to my place.
We have a Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Sam Club and other within 3 miles of our house.
For years the closet store was 10 or more miles away from us. We have lived on our place 38+ years.
Well it may not be as bad I thought. Across street from Walmart, TSC is building a new store. Closest TSC used to be over 20 miles from the house. Now it is a bike ride away to New Hudson, MI.

We have a TSC about 4 miles away, I'm suprised they remain in business. Never more that 6 cars/trucks in the parking lot.

Oh, there's always plenty of cars in the parking lot at the three I've been to. And they're all in cities with a Mall-Wart. Two of them (Prairie du Chien and Viroqua, WI) are right across the road from Wally, and they're doing just fine, thanks. 'Course, I doubt you could walk into Wally and hear the "Still Cleaning this Gun" song playing on the PA.....

Awesome! I sure like our store in Bowie, but it is 10 miles away and I worry that it doesn't have enough business since Bowie is such a small town.

The closet TSC to me is over 50 miles away. Wish we had one closer. I do have a Atwoods but they hardly carry tractor equipment and supply anymore.

TSC and Atwoods are very similar to each other, but Atwoods is bigger and has a better selection. Here, they are just a couple blocks apart from each other. Before Atwoods arrived, TSC was terrible about keeping stuff in stock. In the last year, it seems like they have gotten much more competitive and seem to be making an effort to be competitive.

Between the two, Atwoods is my go to store. TSC is where I go when pricing things out or just a little unsure of what I want.

Before I retired it was no problem getting supplies that I needed. I was always traveling someplace for work. Plus they provided the transportation. Now I have to use my own car and gas.
50# bag of bird seed will fit right in my golf cart. There is a bike trail that passes within 1/8 miles of TSC. I can probably take the golf cart on the trail. I have taken it over to Lowes with no problems.
If you go to a TSC around here on Friday to Sunday there is always at least 10 cars/trucks in parking lot.

I live in Texas too, and was glad to see Atwoods move in. Now there is some competition on prices and TSC is finally responding. I've, and others walked into TSC so many times to find nothing there you were hunting for. Now with Atwoods, Tsc stocks more and their prices are more in line. Looks like Atwoods has moved in to stay which should keep prices in line.

I'm surprised to see this new one only 18 miles from the Whitmore Lake TSC.

West side of Milford Rd. Going south, instead of taking left into Walmart. Turn right to TSC. The picture is a couple weeks old. They have front of building done now.
The next improvement this area needs. Is a Menards. :thumbsup:
