Ugliest Car GM ever built

Maybe not beautiful, but the 53, 54 vette doesn't exactly instill terror if I saw one approaching in my rear view mirror, like this thing might have done back in 1938. The Phantom Corsair, nicknamed the "Flying Wombat", CAUTION - not for the faint-hearted.

Here is my vote for Ugly.

Daimler Darts are kind of cool. V8 engine was only 2.5 litres!

I agree on the later Javelins. But, the 68/69 were nice looking cars. And some good runners; a 68/69 Javelin with a 360 or 401, was fast fast fast.

As one who never was into cars, I'd have to say without doubt, American Motors made the ugliest cars, Javelin,

1*There was also the Chevy version called Citation
and Pontiac had the Phoenix as well as Oldsmobile offered the Omega.

what about the Gremlin ?

4*Back in 1958 when i was 17 one of the neighbors bought a new 1958 Rambler Ambassador.
It was white and was a real sharp looking car and it was very fast too .It was really a nice car .
I took one of the wildest scariest rides in it that i ever took.
That same year my uncle another neighbor bought a new red 1958 ford.
Sharp lookin car but it road like a road wagon.
I bought it from him around 1968 and sold it to his daughter a year or 2 later.

5*As a kid I was partial to Ford.
6*It always irked me that the Ranchero was so ugly compared to the El Camino.

5*2 of the best lookin Fords was the 1955 Car and the 1971 Pick up.
My uncle had a 1955 Ford Car
and I bought a new 1971 ford PU.
1971 is also the year i bought a new Chevy Chevell Malibou Convertable another one of GMs best lookers.
6*Ya got that right the Ranchero was no match for the El Camino.

Oh the sacrilege! The Daytona/Superbird are two of the most beautiful cars to ever grace a Super-Speedway!

The lime green paint took off a point or two, but the cars were amazing

Chrysler? The whale tale and nose on the 70 Superbird runner with lime green paint would rank up there:thumbsup:

Ken, surely you have forgotten the Pontiac Aztek (1st picture below). It is surely the ugliest car GM ever built.

...and the AMC Pacer is about the ugliest American car I ever saw on the road.

The Pacer always reminded of a pregnant Pinto! And don't forget the LeCar another French wonder!

Not GMs but the French definitely have dibs on all the ugliest cars. I only owned one French car and that was about 1969 when I bought an old Renault Dauphine. I thought it was the best looking of all French cars.

And my buddy had put a lawnmower carb on it so it got over 50 mpg though it did not have much power or speed.

A VW beetle looked like a giant next to it but one day we managed to pack 14 people in it. And although I was a 120 pound weakling at the time, I could lift a front wheel off the ground.

And who can forget the old Beep Beep, Bomp Bomp horn.

That's a Corvair Monza of the 60's. Don't confuse it with the Chevy Monza 0f the last half of the 70's.

I thought that 1978 Buick Century Special was just "plain" instead of ugly. For ugly, I agree with jinman that the Pontiac Aztek would be the winner, and for trucks, the Chevrolet Avalanche is the hands down winnter.

+1 if we limit to GM!

Well, it ain't GM and it ain't even American, but I can't imagine anything uglier than the Cube.
