Hello,

I am fabricating a DIY backhoe. I want to run it using the existing tractor hydraulics. Knowing nothing about hydraulic systems my question is if it is possible to do? My B7610 has a LA352 loader which is run using a joystick, I do not know anything else about how the hydraulics are configured, I assume it is setup the way they come from the factory.

Can someone please explain if what I want to do is possible, will it work well and what are the basic things that have to be done to plumb the backhoe into the existing FEL hydraulics.

Thanks,
Joe

Joe,
I know a bit about hydraulics, but I don't know anything about your particular tractor. But here is some advice that may get you started:
Go to the Woods site, and see if they make a BH for your tractor. See if there are options, like 3ph mounted, or subframe mounted. Price the options, and see if you can really do it for what Woods could do it for. If you still want to do it, you may consider pricing/buying the subframe and installation kit from Woods, and build the rest yourself.

There are several threads on the attachment forum.
Mine runs off the tractor hydraulics.

Price it carefully and know your skills.

A Woods BH for the 7610 should be available new for about $7K. Just looking at prices on cylinders etc. I suspect new high quality material costs (not stuff rummaged from dumpsters) would be at least $3K.

good luck.

I have been thinking about getting rid of my Kubota hoe for my 7610 , I'm in WV if you are interested. Feel free to PM me.
