Agri-Supply and TSC sell extensions, but you will need to make sure you have enough stub left after the pump is placed over the shaft.

I'll bite... why do you need a pump and posthole digger at the same time???

I have a pump on the end of a shaft that turns a blower, but it's at the end of the line, sort of speak. I have another pump that lets the end of the pto stub hang out but not enough to lock the pto shaft on. You might be able to bolt onto it... but the one shown above, uses the whole pto shaft, just extends it.

You could use an electric pump or rig up a hydraulic pump (not even sure they make one but sounds good.)

I've seen as long as 7" extenders at tsc..

the issue is I don't have enough volume or pressure with my current pump to run everything I need to and don't really have any options other then using a pto driven pump. however i can envision the difficulties of attaching and removing the pump all the time. I don't care to go that route unless there is absolutely no option

I DID see a long shaft extender at TSC today.. havn't seen them in a while.. but they are apparently still carrying them.

How much HP does your tractor have? It will take a couple HP per gpm flow to run the pump at full working pressure.

OK. You can do about 20 GPM at the PTO and still have enuf left over to move the tractor pretty well. Youll need a pretty big reservoir to keep temp down.

is a twenty gallon tank enough?

The "general" rule of thumb is 1 gallon in the tank per 1 gallon pump output, so if you have a 2GPM pump, you want a 20 gallon tank.
