Luzhong/Foton

Hi
Can anyone tell me the relationship between Luzhong and Foton.
Are they the same tractor made in different factories?
Is one a lower grade version of the other?.
Anyone got solid info rather than just rumour?

My understanding from my contacts in China is that Foton/Lovol outsources all of their manufacturing, I have visited the LOVOL (formerly Foton) Factory and they have a HUGE assembly plant but the componenets (casting, machining, staming) are outsourced. Luzhong also assembles tractors most likely sourcing the components from some (or all) of the same vendors. I have some literature from them from my 2006 trip, at that time they were awaiting export license approval. There was another compnay makeing an almost exact "copy" of a Jinma tractor as well. I don't remember the name. Industry has become very dynamic in China and lack of patents. I would not assume the parts are interchangeable, the suppliers could make some revisions. Also it could be that only hoods, fenders, etc are sourced from the same plants on some models and under the skin could be different.

LUZHONG is made by Weifang LUZHONG tractor co., locate in same city with FOTON, WEIFANG. looks quite same in appearance. But LUZHONG is about half on price.

Luzhong use some foton supplier or copy some cover parts like Hood fender, some suppliers like engine and or axle are public as well, so it just looks like Foton. Foton have tractors range from 20HP to 300HP in many series, Luzhong have tractorsfrom 25HP to 80Hp, they looks like Foton TE,TB and TA series (From 25HP to 80 HP)
