Anyone have any problems with theirs? I have a very big problem with my NEW Sc2450 (14 hrs) and am wondering if anyone else has had any issues? I have been in contact with corporate and they are less then helpful.. I dont want to say more, cause i am hoping they will buy it back! If they tell me to go to **** i will tell share my experience in detail! until then the bad pub is the only thing i have over them!

Whats the problem? How can we share if we dont know what is going on! Whats the dealer say? Until then how can we express our problems.

In fairness to CC have they had a reasonable opportunity to correct whatever your problem is? Don't spoil their desire to correct the issue by making threats before giving them a chance. I can imagine your frustration at having serious problems with only a few hours on the machine, but stuff does happen. The factory service channel moves slowly at times but it can (and does) come through for many if not most owners.

Has your dealer been helpful for you? Is the dealer engaged on your behalf with the factory? If the dealer is short-circuiting communication with the factory that could contribute to not finding a solution to your problem. Most dealers are and want to be helpful. If you think about it the dealer has more interest in your long term satisfaction than the factory does since he is local and the one that has the most to gain or lose. Sometimes the dealer ends up stuck in the middle on issues but I think most of the time the dealer sits on the customer side of the fence.

I'm sure you don't intend to send the wrong message here, but your post sounds like saying "I have this bucket of stuff that I am going to dump on you if I don't get my way". That approach may work against you in getting what you want.

Again, I can understand how aggravating a serious problem on a new (and very expensive) tractor might be. I'm fortunate that I have only had minor (and mostly solvable) issues with my CC tractor. I'm just saying that you need to give people ample opportunity to make it right for you before you burn bridges by dropping threats on them.

I hope everything works out well for you regardless of what the final solution is. I don't know how many tractors you have or do own, but I know how much I have enjoyed mine and hopefully you will be able to say the same down the road. Good luck and keep us posted!

I'm hoping Cub Cadet does not buy my Sc2400 back, over 200 hours and the only thing done to it was an oil change. If he's been in contact with "corporate" and they don't want to help, I can only imagine operator error? I am lucky because I am 100% sure that I would not have to fight Cub Cadet if a problem ever did occur because my dealer would do that for me...I should know, I owned a 5234 sub-compact. I guess more info may help to change my mind, until then.

Again, where is the dealer in all of this? Maybe they don't think its a warranty issue? If it is warranty and they will not help you then I would be a little upset with them as well.

IME Cub Cadet corporate is slow, but they do come through. Your best bet, if it's a legitimate issue with the machine is for you and/or your dealer to get in touch with your territory rep.

HAVE TO WONDER ???? 14 hours and a very big problem on a tractor to which yours is the first negative anything i have ever read about a cub/yanmar
just wondering something happen with a first fluid change ?
a weld break ???
jumping on the factory because of a setup issue with the dealer ???
you don't mention the dealer just the factory so wondering if that is where the issue lies and you are working the factory to put preasure on the dealer??
having worked retail since before dirt was popular and seeing a post with this much smoke, just have to wonder how much of it is a legit prob with cub/yanmar, the dealer or the cust :smiley_aafz:

I'm curious as to why you won't "say more", because you want them to buy it back?? That doesn't make sense to me. If it's a legitimate issue the the machine (being a newly introduced machine) then I would think it would benefit all SC2450 owners to hear about it. It's that bad that you want them to buy it back, versus fixing the issue or replacing it??
This is the FIRST issue I've seen with the CCYanmars, and they've been out for 2 years now. Perhaps you got a lemon, happens with any manufacturer.
I would think since it's covered under warranty it shouldn't be an issue, return to the dealer and get it fixed?
I do know this, if you step into the ring with customer service and start swinging before the bell rings, you're probably not gonna win the fight....
Good luck getting it resolved, looking forward to more details.

With 14 hours I can't imagine the dealer getting the company involved. They should get authorization, order parts and repair quickly. One bad comment isn't going to shut the factory down. Its a machine, machines break, machines are repaired or replaced.... unless it shows super operator negligence at which case your on your own.
Please be nice and listen to their response, work with them. Wars never solved anything. Good luck !

Ok.. Tractor is back to me and fixed!

Here's the deal. I went to a local dealer to buy a Sc2450 after ALOT of research and going back and forth on this or a kubota, they didnt have any so i drove 150 miles to the closest dealership with one and bought it. The dealer assured me that any dealer will be happy to handle to service on the unit. So fast forward a month and about 14 hours use! The tractor wouldnt go backwards anymore. I called the local guy and they said the only way they could look at it is if i brought it to them, so i loaded my new $18K broken machine up and drove 20 miles one way to take it to them, just for them to say oh you can leave it, but its going to be 2 weeks before we can even look at it! Thats not customer service! So i call another dealer who told me if i didnt buy it from them they didnt want anything to do with it.. REALLY? being this machine was brand new i was pretty ******. I called Cub and got talked down to, and hung up on.. I finally talked to a guy (Todd I think) who was very helpful and called multiple dealers on my behalf.. I got a call a few hours later saying hey your tractors done come get it.. The things that **** me off are the fact they didnt offer to send a tech out to look at it which Kubota does! and they acted like because i didnt buy it from them they didnt care! The bottom line is the machine is AWESOME! I am very happy overall with it. The customer service as far as the dealers go around here is horrible. Kubota dealer in my area will send a tech out to fix it, if it cant be fixed they will trailer it back to their shop and then deliver it when its done, and if they cant get it done in a timely manner they will deliver a loaner to get you by.. I guess i assumed to much when i bought this and didnt ask the right questions. I guarantee though if i ever buy another it will be a kubota or bobcat for the supreme service!

The part that went bad was some valve, that took 5 minutes to replace! All that headache over a little valve! I know it may seem harsh that i wanted them to buy me out of it, but with the customer service i was getting and the run around with the dealers was unbelievable!

You need to read your machine warranty and have a better understanding of what a CC dealer is obligated to do, and when they are obligated to do it. No manufacturer pays for travel or pickup & delivery on warranty claims, and few if any dealers absorb those costs on units they did not sell.
The tone of your posts suggests to me that if I were on the other end of the phone from you as a dealer other than the selling dealer, I'd not be jumping through hoops.

It can be a frustrating experience dealing with such things. I can even understand how, after spending so much money, you wanted to just bag the whole thing. You might not like what I'm going to say, but I believe your experience was actually fairly normal, except for the one dealer who said he wouldn't help at all.

When it was all said and done, it got fixed. You'll feel better.

I do take issue with your rather overly optimistic view of how things would have gone, had you bought a Kubota. Big Orange fan myself here, but dealers round here don't send out techs and don't trailer any tractors into their dealerships and don't provide loaners, at least not as a matter of course.

I believe a whole bunch of guys buy from dealer A and then might look to dealer B for service. i don't think it rare at all that dealer B would service you, but from the wrong end of the long line. Sorry, but this is a pretty common practice. Their own customers come first, whether we like it or not.

Lowering expectations sometimes helps to diffuse frustration.

don't buy from dealer A, then don't expect him to get excited when you walk in with a prob.
just wondering did you go to him first for pricing then decided to drive 150 miles to get a better deal ????

fyi - dealers with the best service most likley are not the botton dwellers when it comes to equipment pricing, quality service comes with a price,
for the few extra bucks sometimes it is worth a lot more than aggravation you went through.

from the other side of the fence if you bought from dealer b after local dealer a didn't have the tractor or the price you were willing to pay at dealer a
then during the first week of spring went back to dealer A and jumped up and down to get your tractor fixed before his reg cust then i would think regardless the color of the tractor you will get a whole lot of
we'll get to you when we get to you.
and you wonder why dealer ownership is :mur: by wed. of every week

Ok, thanks for a little more info. As other have stated, you shopped for the best deal, and got it 150 miles away....so the given is that you should bring it back to where you bought it to get servicing. The local guy gave you the shoveoff cause you didn't buy it there.....not defending him, but not unrealistic on his behalf.
The crap about the Kubota dealer doing all that for you in the event of a problem.....was that the word of a dealer???? And you believed it?? And I can sell you some beachfront property in Arizona real cheap.....
You got it fixed, enjoy the machine.......

Getting things serviced as fast and conveniently as we would like can sometimes be a problem whether it's a tractor, car, motorcycle, or whatever. It's good news that your problem has been resolved.

The best news is the fact that the solution turned out to be a simple replaceable part. When something like reverse occurs one's imagination can go to work and you start thinking about things like catastrophic transmission failure and stuff like that. Fear of the worst possible failure can make people pretty defensive (OR OFFENSIVE?).

In any event, glad your enjoying your new tractor again. Welcome to the forum BTW.

My dealer came and picked mine up. I had a small issue with the hood latch, it wouldn't open. I could not open it from day one. They came out, picked it up, and then fixed it. It took about 2-3 weeks to get it back. They offered to drop it off but I wanted to just pick it up on my own so I wouldn't have to meet them.

You have a generous dealer and you likely live somewhat close by? Sweet!

Anyhow, the Kubota Warranty clearly states that the warranty service is provided AT THE DEALERSHIP, not beginning with my driveway. In other words, get it here, and we'll warranty it. It's pretty plain. The 8-10 county area served by the typical Kubota dealership in central and northern Michigan absolutely precludes their being able to truck stuff to and fro. It simply doesn't happen here. Again, you got a great thing going, it's just that it isn't a widely practiced standard or even required. I'd bet a dollar to a donut that the OP was informed of this reality when he purchased his Cub as well.
