Cub Cadet Yanmar EX2900
I am looking into purchasing a new Westendorf TA-111A front loader for my EX2900. My EX2900 came with the loader wobble stick and hose connectors. I run an MS60 belly mower.

They are pricey - loaders are pricy. Has anyone been in this direction or have any comments about this after-market loader?

I don't know Westendorf. I had a Koyker on my last tractor and thought it was quite good. They also have great support. I think they're in South Dakota.

The Koyker Model 145 may be a good fit. I have an inquiry in to Koyker Manufacturing, a division of Sioux Steel Company.

My only comment is that you might consider looking for a used tractor and FEL package instead. I think you'd be money ahead and will avoid a lot of potential problems. Just my opinion . . .

I am/have considered an additional used tractor with a loader but a few things hold me back.

-- I have nowhere to store another vehicle, and I do not leave anything outside. I do not want to pay additional property tax for adding structures.

-- Buying another tractor means I would need to set it up for my 3 point BH and not utilizing my existing tractor I have which most likely I will never wear out.

--- Even at $7K for the custom fit Westendorf I still may come out as additional maintenance is not required for another tractor. No additional place needed to store an additional tractor. I can store the drop off loader in my existing covered section. Besides the 3 point hitch, my EX2900 has a factory belly mower that I use part time in the summer. I do have a Cub Lowboy 185 (1000 lbs lighter) I mow with also.

--- But I might buy a compact tractor with an existing BH - finding one with a belly mower is tougher --that can be placed on my tractor. I fabricate. Then perhaps sell off the added tractor. Or get rid of the Lowboy.

--- Then I could also do nothing but then using the 3 point BH without the 3rd leg is slow. Just rent a BH when I need one. dunno

I purchased a used Farm Pro loader that was on an IH 254. I am sure that originally it was on a farm pro tractor. I have finished the adapter bracket to mount the quick connect stirrups to my EX2900 with belly mower. I have measured many times and included all considerations except the ones I did not think of. I hope none. Adapters will be tied together also underneath with a 2x2x1/4 angle. I ordered a couple of large metric bolts also - M16x2.0x60mm

To match the parallel width of the loader arms, I come up with 38 inches ID. This will require moving both stirrups in 1.5 inches - will do. I do have some bushings to replace and the front mount yet to solve. It should clear my grill guard but maybe not my front weights - dunno yet.

I have power beyond for an oe front loader, so I do not have to use the leaking wobble stick that came with it.

Once all is fitted, I will completely dismantle, sandblast and paint. I will show my progress.

Happy New year. Just a few progress pics on the tower and the support arm. Looks like it may mate up nicely to the weight bracket using a 2x2x1/4 tubing. The loader arms installed will let me know.

Good job on fitting this loader on your tractor and also adding the support from the loader mounts to the front of the tractor. A key component on a loader mount.

All these newer loaders these days don't have it, which only results in the loose and/or broken bolts and cracks in the loader mounts over time.

Does my EX2900 power beyond joystick for the front loader bucket have a float position on down?

Nice work thus far - I can't answer your float question for your 2900, but most loaders have a detent position to float the bucket - pushing forward puts it in detent on my Kubota.

Also, agree tying the front arms to the weight mounts is a good idea making if much more rigid. Also may suggest adding/bloting a cross bar between the rear loader uprights (across in front of the dash/hood) will prevent flexing of the uprights.

Looks like you would need to extend ” higher or so -are those uprights solid welded box frame or open?

They look open from the pics - suggest stiffening or filling them in then maybe extending the height?
