The joy stick setup I have now put the orginal curtis one to shame.coobie

I''ll bet..Use one hand to do everything instead of hitting a rocker switch and the hydro controller.

How does the power angle work in deep snow?..Do you have to lift it or will it angle while plowing? Haven't had an opportunity to try it yet.

You eventually get use to using electric lift and hydraulic angle but it is a pain. At least on the 1100 they put them both on the left side on the 900's the electric lift was on the right. We have curtis fast cast 550 spreaders on our rtv's. The controls on the 900's are on the rollbar in front of the passenger. When plowing you are dancing all over the cab trying to keep up with the levers and switches. On the 1100 they mounted the spreader controls on the left under the dash. A hydraulic joystick with two toggles for the spreader would be great but the university is to cheap. The power angle works great it is more powerful than the lift. We will be plowing and angle the blade to prevent plowing in other sidewalks as we are moving. If you get stuck you can sometimes use the angle to work yourself free. The hydraulic angle works great the electric lift works good but wish it was hydraulic. The lift and angle work great in deep snow I have pushed back piles that were above the hood and adjusted the angle no problem.

Thanks Sportsman,

I'm assuming that you have the standard Curtis plow, not the commercial version.

If that's the case, I feel pretty good about this..

Not to sound stupid but what is the difference between the commercial plow and the standard one?

TIMSWI how does the suspension compare to the 500. Is it a little stiffer, softer or about the same. I have always thought the 500 rode a little rough. I was in a bobcat utv that almost beat me to death. Seems like your enjoying the new ride so far since I haven't seen any complaints.

It does ride much nicer than the 500..Although the snow plow is on it. Once that weight is off, I'll know better.

I do like it so far. It feels and looks alot bigger than the 500 even though it isn't THAT much bigger.

The hydolics are going to take some getting used to..They are really fast, actually way too fast. Have to really watch what you're doing with the power angle and the bed. Practice on that one I guess.

The cab is really nice. Just wish that the cloth seat was a blackish grey instead of silver...That's going to get messy looking pretty quick. Seems kinda silly to buy seat covers for $90 to prevent that.

So far so good though.

The diesel is a serious improvement over the 500 gasser.

From what I can see, the commercial is bigger and orange. The Curtis is black and a little smaller. The dealer said that the commercial one is really expensive and they've never sold one.

They also have V angle plow. Actually if you're doing sidewalks, that one would be ideal. I'd hate to see what it costs.

Looks pretty nice. How's the shifting? Do you really have to yank it out or does it just kinds slide nice and easy? That's my biggest complaint. Mine has to be jammed in or yanked out.
