Just thought a few of you would enjoy looking at these...

Any more pics? Did you get to drive one? Can you give some info on what they upgraded?

Thanks for the pics!

The 4 seater that I was told would be there was not. I imagine it still is a year or two a way. I drove the new 825 and it is very good. The only thing there that compared on power and ride was the Kawasaki terex. The Ranger was a close second. The honda big red was a disapointment. I expected better from them. Back to the 825. It was very good all the way around. The only reall beef I had I wish the clutch had a little more bite from about 10-30 mph. With the hp of that machine it seems like it could do 70 with no problem. The sound is a little weird too. I'm used to the Kawasaki v-twin sound and the three cylinder is a diffrent sound. I think it should be a home run for Deere. I forgot to mention the new Diesel XUV will be coming with a belt enclosure!

Will the belt enclosure be adaptable to the 2009 XUV 850D?

I have seen the brochure for the new gator.
- bigger tires
- more suspention, inch or 2
- adjustable coils front and back
- diesel HAS ENCLOSED BELT
- same diesel motor and power,25 hp, but 35mph
- 825i 52hp, 44mph
all I can recall now.

flenth, The answer is no. They redesigned the motor and trans to be linked together and they inturn are isolated as a unit.

ORCM,
The suspension is upgraded and it does ride very nice in stock form. They will have a fox racing shock option available which is SWEEEEET. No more payload capacity but the new box does have more volume.

Interesting. This suggests the 08 and 09 diesel XUVs can be tweaked for more speed. Not that I need it. I very rarely go full speed as it is.

Still looking at a release date in the spring?

Any analog dash gages at all? :)

I posed the question to my dealer that a wider belt would only give you a couple a three miles per hour more but the engine top speed seems to be based on miles per hour and not rpm's.

He just looked at me and smiled. :D

My 850d will go 36mph. I put the belt on it from the 620i, it is slightly shorter which gives you more shift. That and 27" tires and i get 36mph.

I saw a picture of a new digital speedo for the new ones as well, not sure what other info it provided.

I didn't see any analog gauges at all but I could have missed them. The feeling I got was mid summer on the release date. They were as vauge as possible on that subject. They are tring to get a lot of stuff on that instrument cluster along with possible GPS.

The biggest gripe I've had with JD is the use of idiot lights instead of real gauges. You just can't replace seeing the actual oil pressure versus having a warning light come on when the pressure is actually low.

I had a 2005 HPX gator gas that I really liked. With the 2nd kiddo arriving we added a Polaris Ranger Crew. I liked it so much, I bought another one. The 2005 HPX can not compare. One thing the Gator does well is keep mud off you. The ranger fenders need to be wider.

I can't wait to see a 4 seater Gator - it is about time.

D-

I liked a Polaris I saw yesterday so much I am buying one, too. Going to keep the Gator and give it to my dad. Part of a three way deal. Gator goes to dad to replace his previous Polaris, John gets Ranger 800 XP with power steering, in summer Gator goes to family friend who wants to buy it after he has paid for his daughter's wedding--and John and dad decide who gets the new Gator replacing it. What a plan!!! The only problem is whether the gubment takes all our money in the meantime. (Disclaimer: that is not a political comment--merely a stating of circumstances true to this story).

Anyone get anymore information on the 2010's??? Pics, info, details??

/ Gator XUV, 2009 vs 2010 #57
I konw man, i cant wait till they come out, any one have arrival dates or more info or pics. Your killin me, i want to c more photos. My dad bought a new gator bout 3 months ago man he got the 620i with hardwood camo that thing kicks my uncles polaris ranger 500. RANGERS SUCKS SO BAD. Every year that thing brakes 5 or 10 times a year its 2 or 3 years old it sucks. My gator will burn it in every thing but speed. The gators have 3pt seat belts rangers dont.

Rangers speaks for them selves
1) gator
2)prowler
3)ranger
4)bobcat
5) cubcadet
6)kubota
7)kawasaki
and the peice of crap electric buggies they suck with the ranger

Sory guys no news yet. I know they are getting closer because the deliver dates for new 620I are out there. Usually that means they are stealing production for the new model. Red 2 don't sleep on the Kawasaki Terex. That's a pretty nice piece. I'd put that in front of the ranger.:D

Red2

I would agree with some, but not all, of your thoughts. I have both an XUV Gator and a Polaris Ranger. My Gator is a favorite to use. It is really stout and bulletproof. I have the 850d and it is made to work. It is not quite as heavy as the Kubota RTV but offers better suspension travel and a better MFWD system, making it a better overall off-roader in the challenging terrain I frequent. The Ranger I just bought is not quite as heavy duty but will haul 600-800# in the bed without trouble and is super fast. For my daily use, I prefer it, but not in every way. As I noted in a previous response once, a lot of how these machines perform and service is how they are driven and maintained. I use my machinery a lot and I use it hard, but I am very picky about cleanliness and keeping it serviced. I also avoid situations which are beyond the machine's ability to handle without breaking something. My dad, on the other hand, is the opposite. I am letting him borrow my Gator through the winter as I have two UTV's with snow removal tools. I have run my Gator over 300 hours without any trouble and my father has already damaged the parking brake and broken a winch cable in less than 4 hours use. Goes to show.....

So normally they make the newer model first?? Probably smart, that way they can iron any bugs out in the production line.. Where are they assibled at by the way?

Did they give you any idea of price? Are they going to offer any other cab configurations?

Thanks,
P.
