2010 XUV or 2010-1/2 XUV

I decided to trade my 2006 HPX Trail Gator for a 850D. Got a generous trade-in offer, if I would take a current model 850D, and not wait for the upgraded version (new bed, unitary engine-transmission, etc).
Because my order is being entered so late this year, delivery won't be until Feb 2010. And the unit will be documented as a 2010 model. Dealer told me the upgraded version won't be coming out until after May 2010.
I would have liked the new version:
- Larger bed with plastic section
- Tailgate latch for one-handed operation
- Tailgate swing-down greater than 90 Degrees, plus removable
- New front end with plastic/tubular grill guard
- Clutch enclosure (made possible by the change in engine-transmission mating)
- Optional rear-end bumper that wraps around the bed
- Other goodies like dash gauges, shock-buffered bed lift, etc
Still no word on power steering or new smoother operating gear shift system
But the "deal" is too good to wait for these goodies.

Even if you go with the current model, you're going to need some major distractions, Feb is a long time to wait. If the savings is enough to make you forget the goodies you like on the new model, the 850D will make you a fine machine, there are a lot of them, with no complaints, running the open belt version. I'm an orange kind of guy, but if I found one that I could afford, I'm sure the green diesel version would get along just fine with my orange stuff.

that's very conservative, i would imagine fall from what
we've heard.
