Saw the message about the 10's getting a higher top end speed (rumor).
Anything else different with the 10's???

I have a hankering to jump on the 12 month no interest/no payment deal that JD is offering until Aug 3, and trade in my 06 HPX. Hoping that the slow economy will loosen up the dealer's dealmaking, too.
But.... I got the 06 HPX after a dealer told me that the changes to the 06 would be the only changes JD was planning for several years. So I don't want to repeat my mistake.
Time is getting short -- any thoughts will be appreciated.

I'd also be interested to know what's coming down the line for the new XUV's. My HPX is nearly 5 years old and I'm getting ready to upgrade.

Hopefully they atleast get the new bed. More power and speed would be cool too!

My dealer is saying 50 hp and 44 mph. Gas only

i was wondering what you think is wrong with the bed?........if the 10's are 50hp....i might trade....i talked to my dealer this morning and he said he was going to a JD dealer show next week on the new models coming out for 2010.....he said he didn't know anything yet and hasn't heard about the 50 hp and 44mph......he said give him a call the 21 and he would know more...

The current bed is ok but dated. The tail gate latch rods get bent alot and when the paint wears off they stick. You cant opperate the tail gate very good with one hand, it rusts out under the plastic fenders, It doesn't expand to a flat bed , the tie downs are not very sturdy and you cant get stadard hoioks to sit reall wel in the tie down. That is just a few little problems. I talked to a JD rep, he said 40 mph top speed and the new bed. Once you see the new bed, you may want to replace the bed that is on your machine.

Th new bed is on the 2010 tx gator. You can check it out on JD's web site.

i didn't see any diference in the beds on the tx. as for as tiedowns i used my bed rails to tie stuff down to and set stuff on and across.the rust under the fenders i never had that problem cause i made my fenders out of aluminum and when i took the stock ones off i sanded and sprayed under coating on the under side of the bed where the fenders go.my fabed fenders look just like the stock fenders only they are made from 1/8th aluminum and you can stand on themthe bed rails well put it this way i used to bind stuff down and i never bent them they are made to last.

There is a pic of the new bed on Deere's homepage...it is poly and the sides can fold down to make a "flat" bed.

2010 XUV will have the new bed...52hp 44mph but I didn't tell you...

Well I won't try to argue, not sure why you don't believe me either...

I have attached another picture that might turn you into a "believer". This bed is new to ALL gators.

I stand corrected. The pics in the dealer sales manual are not available on the customer side except on the gator page ther is a sneek peek. Thanks for the pic.

Any possibility of a cluth enclosure for the 850D?

I'm not sure that is coming out but it would be nice. That diesel moves around alot with all that torque. I'm interested in the 4 seat version we are supposed to see.

i think if they start up with that poly/plastic stuff"they gonna be messin up thats one of the best things about the gators is that metal bed i put it through so much abuse and it took every bit of it. now my buddy who had a polaris with a poly bed well when we through cement into it lets just say "crack kills"it acually did crack the bed if the cement hit it with a point plus the bed tailgate wouldn't hold back the cement you could see it bending so we offloaded some of the weight because we was afriad the tailgat would just give out. nuthin beats a steel bed look at the avalanche trucks with all that plastic they don't hold up at all. them new bens look nice but they have no use for a person who hauls rough and jagged objects if your doing little landscapeing project around the yard they are fiine but get into some really heavy hauling and see how long they last.
