I see some of you guys are just running chains on the front tires. Does this work pretty good? Would sure be a bit cheaper buying the chains for the smaller tires.
I have a steep section of my drive that is always hare to get back up. Yesterday it took about a hour to move enough snow to get back to the top.

I'm still trying to figure out how to post pics. Do you click on "manage attachments"?

After spending a few hours with the FEL yesterday, the cavalry came to the rescue today and did in five minutes what would have taken me all day. I retreating back up the hill, looking out my rear window.

Here's some before and after shots of last weekends storm that left us with more than a foot of the white stuff.

Those pictures were taken about 3 days apart, but it'd been so cold that hardly any of the snow had melted. Also, you'll learn real fast that you need to invest in chains for the future when you tractor loses traction to the point that your unable to plow so you have to end up shoveling an 8 ' x 30' ft section of your driveway covered with a 1'+ of heavy wet snow just so you can get back up the hill.

Here's our resident deer pack checking out what my Deere did with the snow.

Add Rudolph to that bunch and you have enough to pull Santa's sleigh!:)

:D I know right, and that was only part of the pack. There were still two to the left of the picture and three yet to come out of the woods to the right.

We had 18" of snow back in 1973. Shut the whole state down for a week. I've never had to deal with moving it out of the way; y'all make it look like fun.

We finally got snow yesterday! Got about 5-6" so i decided to see how my Yanmar would handle it. I thought before I used it and gave it fuel and put a shovel on the ROPS just in case. I wasnt quite sure about going down the driveway. I could barely get back up in high gear 4wd. I think I may need some chains. Other than that, I spun the tires a bit but I got the driveway and the neighborhood road all plowed. I glad, I got to have some seat time.:D

A couple pics from this weekend. Most of this is snow leftover from a few weeks ago (12-13" along with 30mph winds all day) plus another 5-6" layer (also with lots of wind) from last week...

Hello Jake. Its about time we saw some snow pics of your fine looking Yanmar. How many HP does it have? How big is the Scraper blade and how much does it weigh?

does not look like you have much to block the wind around you place. I love to play in the snow except when the wind blows it everywhere.

I was thinking same thing about not much to block wind around your house.

You might want to get some orange plastic fencing and put on each end of your yard to keep drifts from in front of your garage doors.
