2009 Kubota BX2360
Just bought a new BX2360 with FEL MMM, and 4' Rotary. I am waiting as patiently as I can for delivery. They are waiting for a FEL to put on my new tractor. I lurked around here for a few weeks while I was shopping and found all the info I needed to make my decision. I was up in the air between this and a JD. Chose the Kubota cuz it was a little cheaper and I did not like the hydraulic hook up on the JD with the hoses hanging below the step. I have 4 acres to take care of and needed a bit more than a lawnmower. I cant wait for my tractor to get here so I can start making modifications to it and building stuff for it. Thanks for all your help even though you did not know you were helping me.

Congrats on the new tractor, you will love it. Post some pics when you get it, we love pictures.

I see that you are a fellow Tennessean (raised there and parents still there) and also a fellow Army vet (I'm retired Army). Good to meet you.

Thanks for the welcome all. I was looking used and Chinese but opted for new based on the cost savings and because of my wife and the fact that I deploy to one desert or another for a year at a time every other year or so, and travel quite a bit in between. I am mechanically inclined, she is not. I have 17.5 years in now so my first retirement is coming up fast.

Congratulations on your new tractor and thank you for your service.

Congratulations! You'll enjoy and be shocked and surprised at what a 23hp diesel will do. I was when I got my first one that was 22hp 6 years ago. Thanks for your service!

Nice! I used to hate the big bumper cars, but they are really starting to grow on me. I am looking at a 74 as my next camaro, I have a 70, 71, 72, and a 73. I have a problem.....

Nice car and nice BX you are getting. I also love building things for mine. I have built a weight box/hitch/tool carrier, ripper, reworked a tiller and am in the proses of building a log hog and a skid plate!:p

Nice cars to both of you!! All of your camaros put my 95 Z to shame.

2ndgenguy - I assume you are stationed at Ft Campbell? I still own a small house in Clarksville and rent it out mostly to GI's.

Here are a few websites that sell items for your tractor that are nice to have, if you are interested http://www.bxpanded.com, http://www.bro-tek.biz, http://www.moweraxle.com/tractorstands.html.

If you are planning on taking your tractor out in the woods, recommend you search here on TBN about skids plates for your BX. The underbelly is very vulnerable (HST filter and HST fan blade). The Bro-Tek skid plates will help protect these areas better than the new offering from Kubota.

You are correct, I am stationed at Ft. Campbell. Thanks for the advise on the skidplates, you never know where I may take it..... Also thanks all for the kind words on the car, I took it on the powertour this year with the wife and my boys, It was a blast. BTW I paid about 14500 for my tractor plus tax with the rears fluid filled. Good deal? Seemed in line with what I was seeing around.

Sounds like a pretty good price to me. I paid that for my BX2660 with FEL, 60" MMM, tire weights and grill guard and the list on it isn't much more than the 2360. I paid about $1500 total for my Land Pride rotary cutter.

I second the need for Bro Tek skids, just got mine in.

Seems like a good price to me also and a very good choice on brands. If you treat her right, she will last a very long time.

Stay safe and hope that you have no more deployments before your retirement!! Tod

Unfortunately my next deployment is in the all to near future. TripleR the price diff was less than a thousand at my local dealer between the 23 and the 26. I decided that 5hp and cruise (and a bit more) was worth 1300 bucks but 2.5hp and a reclining seat wasn't worth 800, hope I don't regret it, lol. Thanks for the kind words all and it really looks like this is a great board. I am hoping that my new tractor will get here tomorrow. I've never had to wait for this large of a purchase to be in my hands before. I am an "off the lot" not a "special order" kinda guy. I guess this whole tractor thing is a bit different.
