ROLL BACK VS this

Which one would you rather have to haul your tractor on and why ?

This is fine except you lose the tee bar option to tow something off the back.

Much better loading angle.
Ability to tow a second vehicle (when properly equipped).
Ability to unload disabled or damaged vehicles that don't roll (whole bed tilts up).

I could go on and on about all around versatility, but if all you want to do is move your tractor a few times a year, either will do. The tilting tail will be cheaper and be easier to maintain with less moving parts/ hydraulics.

I'm thinking it would be easier less complicated and less expensive to add a dump feature to the flat bed than it would be to add such a feature to the roll back.

For a tractor like that, utility trailer behind my Toyota. Save the extra $$ for a bigger tractor and rollback JMO

Rollback is fine for a smaller machine. Back when I had my 2090 Case which was just under ten feet tall, I deferred to the driver to put that puppy on the rollback the couple of times that I needed to have it hauled for service.

Oh', I would have loaded it had I needed to. Been there done that on other applications but why take a chance when the expert was around.

They had "pockets" ie; wheelwells up front to minimize the overall heighth. That meant backing it up with a rather high reverse gear ratio. The rear axle would accomodate duals but I ran singles all the way out for stability on the hills. The tires overhung the side of the rollback.

It's a case of what works and feels the best for you. For the cost of a rollback, I can buy a decent truck and a trailer that will give me a lot more useage.

A modern rollback tilts plenty steep enough to slide a damaged vehicle off....... no need to 'add' a dump feature.
