I see a common thread where Kubota prints one thing in their "official documents" then their "official representatives" tell us something else. Engine oil weights are another example. They really need to get their act together on this.

That's what I've noticed. Why are they saying the opposite of what the owner's manual states. The cavitation theory doesn't make sense to me 'cause there would be more at higher rpm's than lower. I could be wrong, but it makes more sense to me that the lower rpm's means less hydraulic flow and pressures meaning longer hose, trans, engine, and fitting life.

I just re-read my manual and it states for Backhoe use run 75%-100% rated RPM. If below 32deg F run at 50% rated RPM until Oil warms up. Rated RPM is 3200rpm so that is a range of 2400-3200rpm. It also states that it is most efficient at 100% rated speed.
