Hydrualic Leak L3710

I'm a new owner of a L3710GST and noticed that there was a hydraulic in the clutch housing drain plug. It is one drop a minute so it leaves a nice puddle on my garage floor. I am thinking this must be from the primary transmission shaft seal. Has anyone had any problems with this? Is this a know issue? My tractor is a late SN acording to the dealer he thought it was 2004 but was not sure. It has had very light use and I'm surprised that a seal would go so early.

I also own a 3710GST. I have not seen this problem. I am not sure I understand were the leak is coming from. There is a drain under the clutch housing to drain off water. Is that were it is coming from?

Yes, so I assume it is either the transmission shaft or a gasket inside the clutch housing. I am going to the dealer today to discuss and to find out how much it will cost to repair. I may be about to learn more about this tractor than I wanted to. But I do really like this one.

I just spoke with the dealer and he said this was not unusual and that it is probably the shaft seal. He said sometimes the bearing goes and that causes a real mess. The cost will be $1300 plus parts.

I previously owned a 3710 GST, but didn't have that problem. I think it is just one of those bad luck issues. The 3710 is a very reliable tractor IMHO.

Thanks for the encouragement. I like the tractor and it is perfect for my needs. Debating if I want to split the tractor myself or let the dealer do it.
