If it's comfort you're looking for AND a great cut.....

LOL

You can laugh, but trust me, after a full day of mowing in hot sun, a cab with AC would be incredible. It would be an amazing boost to health and safety of the operator in the short and long term.
I see a few coming out with cabs here and there, but Im surprised they are not an industry standard option for large frame zero turn mowers.
Really surprised Kubota doesnt have one. I would think they would lead the way in cab technology and advancements on their bigger zero turns

I thought hard about one of the F series cab mowers, but ultimately a cab would be a major hindrance for me cutting around trees. I spend a lot of time bobbing and weaving under trees!

I wished the ZD1511 was offered with a 84 Single Deck

I’ve mowed 15acres around my farm for 24yrs with a 84 & 110 Rear Finishing Mower.

This 72 Zero isn’t saving me any time but it cuts & trims way better plus saves 10gals of fuel per week compared to the 66hp JD tractor.

84” straight deck would be a scalper for sure.
I’m looking at keeping my ZD331 with 72” deck and getting a 100” WAM now.

My 84” single deck RFM didn’t scalp BUT I mow at 4” blade height.

Most people try to mow way too short with wide deck mowers imo.

Taller Grass here in the South will survive heat & dry conditions way better than grass cut so short.

What brand & model 100” are you wanting / looking at ?

There’s only a few realistic options I know of Deere and Toro. I can’t possibly buy a new one. There may be more, but I haven’t seen them yet.

I’d like to run the 96” ExMark

Hustler makes a 104" zero turn. Rated at over 9 acres an hour.

Hustler Super 14 | Wide-Area Zero-Turn Commercial Mower

I don’t think they offer a diesel or cab. I’m set up to run diesel already and would like to stay that way.
I’m looking for a 4wd unit with the wide mower and maybe even a cab.
So far, Toro is the only one to offer 4wd, cab and 100” mower.
Deere offers 4wd, cab and 72” mower.
Very few used units.

I ordered a 6 x 14 ft utility trailer from the local mom and pop equipment store. At least 2 weeks, he has a waiting list.

I mentioned that I would need to put my zturn on the trailer........ once i bought one.

He started telling me all about his Ariens with a Kohler gas engine, right around $5K. He's had his for 6 years and loves it.

Any comments or experiences with the Ariens brand?

I just read they are owned by huskavarna

Don't know anything about the Ariens brand in particular, but many ZT's use the same drive components.
I bought a new 48" SCAG Liberty Z, last Fall, and so far I really like it.
21Hp Kawasaki, $4410 OTD.

I just went through my ZD331 and replaced the ball joints on the steering levers. Had a bad u joint, too. Did all filters and fluids. I think Im ready for the ground to change from white to green.

I mowed 4hrs today with my 80hr ZD1511 72 SD deck & absolutely love it.

I sold my ZD1211 72 RD mower.

The 1211 did great on level ground but all my hills zapped it's power.

The 1511 is definitely worth the extra $$. No issues at all so far

$22K MSRP for the ZD1511. How much off this number were you able to get?

I certainly would expect a professional grass cutter guy like you, who makes his living just cutting folks grass, to take good care of his equipment.

I bought a new leftover 2018 ZD1511 72 last summer for $18,900 if I remember correctly & it’s been GREAT .

Just wished they made a 84 deck.
