Zero turn vs. 4X4 tractor for mowing

/ Zero turn vs. 4X4 tractor for mowing #141
If you have no opportunities to get stuck due to differential slippage on a two wheel drive machine, and you don't have any slopes that make you feel uncomfortable, then the zero turn machines are ok. Deck width is a trade-off between how lumpy your terrain is and how much extension beyond the wheel track you want for overlapping the edges of the ditches. You are the best judge of all of those factors. So far, it is my understanding that the 27hp Briggs engines have not gone through the deliberate cheapening that their small engines have.
