Z930M on order -> Arrived

Just ordered a Z930M with 60" rear discharge deck & full suspension seat w/24" back. Tried to locate one in the local dealer network first but there weren't any rear discharge machines available ( three in the system but all had been sold). Early estimate puts delivery about 30 days out.

Well the order got switched to A 2023 model & delivery in Jan 2023...

Surprise! Delivery got bumped up three months. The Z930M just arrived. Still a 2023 model, some minor differences from the 2022.

I almost bought one of those. Ended up getting a Gravely but it was a close call. You are going to enjoy that machine. Good choice!!!

Congrats. Sharp looking chine. Those seats are great, we have one on our bushhog Z. What is the engine on it, Kaw., Kohler or a JD of some sort?

Congrats on the new machine, they don't even put hoods on them anymore. I guess for an air cooled engine it probably is less trouble. less screens to keep clean.

looks like you have some leaves to mulch up.

Don't think there were ever hoods on the Deere commercial ZTR's (except for the diesel engined 997). My Z920 is a 2007-2008 model with no hood is almost identical to the new Z930, except a bit less horsepower

Congrats, they are great mowers. My Z930 is the best mower I've owned. Very reliable, fast and gives a great cut.

Finally tried the Z930m on some of the acreage fields. The area in the pic's was bushhogged about 10 days ago (grass level with the 3038e hood in places). Had the ztrak initially set at 3.5" to see if it would bog down, later changed to 4.5". The only thing limiting speed was rough areas (generally remnants of old furrows), holes from rotted stumps, etc. it never did bog down due to grass. Z930m has a rear discharge deck. The suspension seat was well worth the price.

The first few passes in the heaviest growth area.

Lighter growth here, looking back toward the road & sister in law's place.

Well, it's been about 7 weeks. This is how things look after 7 weekly mows. Grass is starting to fill in a bit more in some areas where other growth was displaced. Recent actual mowing time tends to be about 2 hours & uses about 1/4 tank (from completely full).
