Your towing rigs and trailers

what is the length on the dump trailer, I have a 14 foot and a L45 but I have not tried to haul it yet.

It's 14' with a 6' tongue, to give me 12" tailgate clearance with front loader curled up when turning. Also, I had LAMAR use drop axles to lower the deck height 4" to prevent bottom of backhoe boom from scraping (clears by 1"). Crossmembers are 12" O.C because I haul a lot of rocks. Heres a shot from the rear. tcK3GerzTUS8Kmd8Eh%29Q.jpg
I might add that sometimes I have grapple chained inside loader bucket, and with that extra 400# I position tractor two inches to the rear for a more balanced load. Tractor with loader bucket, grapple, and backhoe is right around 8000#.

Nice tractor, and VERY nice trailer. Is that a 3500 you are hauling with?

Don’t have to haul it much, if I did I’d want a wider trailer. Barely fits between axles.

At least you have a GN, I was accidentially overloading my tag dump trailer with clay, estimated it was about 18k of material + trailer weight, oops!

My 2500 handles it fine but luckily there was a tractor with loader at the dump site to help get the front of the trailer up enough to raise itself.............

How did the truck do ride with that load?

The truck does just fine. The brakes are strong on the trailer, so there’s plenty of stopping power. I put a little air in the bags and away I go.

Little overkill but I’d rather have room!!

Looks good .

We need a review and did you go pick it up?

Has been some negative comments about Kaufman here in the past.

This is their 8K, 24' tilt, with extra clearance over the truck tailgate, that I was considering earlier this year:

I would have to have it shipped.

I love it, haven’t used it quite as much as I had planned but either way it seems well built and pulls GREAT. I live about 5 hrs or just shy of 400miles from the factory. I drove over and picked it up. I was really impressed by their yard of trailers. They have a lot. My coworker has bought one from them after I did and it’s a bumper pull and he loves it and has used his like crazy.

Here's mine, '18 F150 SE 4x4. I take my BX down to the camp 3-4 times a year for maintenance. Depending what else I've loaded up, I'm generally in the 4-5K range. The little 2.7EB doesn't even know it's back there. Last trip down got 18mpg with BX in tow. I was amazed. The 2.7EB/10AT is an awesome light duty powertrain, and the aluminum body F150 is a really sweet truck.

That rest area looks familiar. Jon

New 16ft PJ I picked up today! I've been waiting a month for it due to manufacturing backlog, and it took a few days for the dealer to order/install the winch I asked them to add. Electric brakes on 5k axles, Heavy Duty ramp option, and SuperWinch 9500lb winch up front.
