I have an electric stove that can pull 12kw (50 amps) so check your stove rating.ya, it could be just asking too much of unit. An electric oven might be sucking up 40 amps by itself. Agree a clamp on meter is only way to test. Could just be a weak breaker.
Google "circuit breaker trip curve" - Circuit breakers "should" pass the rated current indefinitely, but due to manufacturing tolerances and ambient temperature may be more or less. Could be a couple of hours if the current is close to the trip rating. The higher the current, the quicker it will trip.
