They served you well.

Hey, maybe CM can loan you his old generator if he gets a new one....... the golden oldy has been known to fix grids 5 minutes after starting !

Rgds, D.
Yeah, backfeeding does wonders!

Seriously, I thought the same for years when I bought my gen.

It痴 not likely you were running at 69.8hz on the Yanmar, you would致e had damaged some of your electronics pretty quick. Most likely your meter was seeing a distorted AC sign wave as higher frequency. Is the Yanmar an inverter unit?

Sorry, 60.83. Yes, fat fingered it. No, not an inverter.

Also the Utility min AC went down to 118 VAC a half hour or so later when (I think) the well and cistern pumps came on after flushing all the toilets.

Graphite is good, I like it for locks.

Heavy chain/cable lube.... this one is my favourite......

It's the heaviest coating I've found, that won't attract dirt.

Dry Graphite is great for battery terminals, stops any corrosion from forming.

I’m with Daugen on the Kroil, good stuff. We use aerosols at work and have many ‘duds’ as of recent, definitely would go bottle.

This experience really has me leaning towards an auto generator again. We just have the manual one that powers only a portion of the house. I really want the place to be fool proof so if I am at work and my wife and kids are home they don’t have issues.

What we use, Kevin, is the Freezealarm warning system that will call up to three telephone numbers if the power goes out, or the temperature gets too low, or the 9 V back up battery gets too low. It costs about $300-$400 Canadian, and you can set the temperature alarm point to whatever you want.

Check it out.

Hope you had fun in Maui. We are going there in April! Where did you stay?

We stayed across from Kamaole 3 beach in South Kihei! I love it there so much. IMG_9524.JPG57102863224__378EA77C-A966-46E9-873E-A5BC6BBD9D1D.JPG

Me and my wife went to Kihei a few years ago for our honeymoon. We loved everything about it! Did you go down to Big Beach? Hike the lava flow at La Perouse Bay? Road to Hana?

We did a fair amount of relaxing, but also wandered the island a bit to see what we could. Beautiful for sure!

We stayed about five minutes from where you guys stayed
