If it is fuel related... only a whiff needed. (Provided it is not flooded)

I have seen people spray what appears to be half a can of the stuff.

Yup, I've seen engines destroyed with that stuff!

I really don't have any engines around that are in so bad of shape, that they need it, so I don't keep that stuff around...

Best use I've ever seen for a can of ether is, to fire it over a lit lighter, to shoot those guys in shop in the azz, that are always standing around doing nothing!!

So I have to update my log. Maintenance run not required. We have a power outage. Thankfully she fired right up and is running the well, furnace, sump and some lights no problem.

Wife thanked me for having the circuit for the microwave and one outlet in kitchen wired in. We could make coffee.

Coffee and hot food during an outage  If it's a long one, you will be popular with neighbours !

Snow/ice your way, or just wind ?

The last time I ran my generator was just a test run. I had it given to me and wanted to try it out.

I had it hooked up to the 220 outlet in the barn and fired up the Kubota Tractor. I cannot get all 20 KW's, 83 Amps out of the 3 point hitch Generator, but enough...

So I go in the house and start loading up the generator by turning on high load appliances like our electric wall oven. KABOOM! The common shorted out from the rainstorm the night before that left 3 inches of rain in the ground, and with no ground hooked to the generator it had no where to go but blow one of the resistors on the 110 volt side. It never tripped a breaker or blew the 100 amp fuse as my father was right there to shut it down, but next time I will be sure to ground the Generator first.

Obviously being what it is, I will have a dedicated building for it where it is permanently hooked up and grounded well.

Yeah and with that outlet working we can run the griddle. So could to eggs bacon and pancakes.

Power went out about 439 am and came back on 7 pm.

We just had high wind. Gusts of 50 mph range.

Good reminder about grounding.
