Your favorite implement?

I don't know if it is really my favorite, but my shredder gets used more and makes more money than any of my other three point implements.

I love my FEL (though that was not the OP's question)

Moldboard plow..... I'd rather be flipping dirt than any other thing a tractor can offer.

Brush cutter. I mow the pastures 3 times a year just to knock down the weeds. Horses take care of the rest. No hurry, no pressure, no deadline. Just cruise around and enjoy the country.

I prefer the cultivator. Nothing looks quite so good on the farm as a freshly cultivated corn field.

Not counting the loader, I'd have to say brush hog.

I loved my finish mower when I had one. But I will have to say my ZTR blows the finish mower away. Not a fair comparison since a ZTR will only cut grass, but, boy can it do that. I find the ZTR handles thicker, taller grass than the finish mower ever could. Not to mention quite a bit faster.

My box blade with rippers. Great for rock harvesting, smoothing, grading, low impact dozing and balast. Very versitile implement.

Second for me would be tiller, don't have one now, but had one with my prior tractor. Nothing better at prepping ground for grass planting.

I have to say that my favorite implement is what ever keeps me from having to do the current task by hand. SO if I am putting up fence, it would be the PHD, moving dirt- the box blade although the FEL plays a larger roll in that also. If I am preparing a garden spot then it is the 8' disk followed by the cultivator for making the rows and keeping down the grass as the garden grows or my 6' shredder for mowing the pasture. So I would have to say that if any of them was to leave my possession for any reason, it would have to be replaced. Picking a favorite implement is as difficult as picking a favorite child, I dont think anyone would want to be without any of them.

But unlike kids, most of us can finally have enough kids, but we can never get enough toys, uhhh, I mean implements.
