YMG1800D

Hello, and yes this post number 1 of hopefully many. I am looking at a YMG1800D and have been reading your great forum for a few days trying to get an idea about this tractor. Would anyone mind sharing what they know about this model. I have noticed that most models do not have the
"G" in it, what does that mean? Again thanks for your time.

Wellcome to the board! I never have heard much about the YMG tractors. They are definately much more like the YM series than the later F series. I have production model information from 1975 through 1990, and the YMG tractors do not appear in that information. I have heard only of the YMG1800D, and the YMG2000D. Perhaps someone else has more information.

Not much info on YM1800 in general. Seems to be a pretty rare model, (no US counterpart), which normally means poor parts availability. The YMG1800D is obviously a later madel and My spec. sheet, (a compilation by users/importers), shows mfg. beginning in 1988-?.

Ihave had several YMG 1800 and YMG2000 tractors. They are basically an early version of the YM1802 and YM2002. Every part I have ever needed came from a US parts book for a YM220 or YM226. The US ROPS will fit these. Don't be afraid of them on name only. Judge them as they appear on inspection.

I don't believe it! I've been on this board for years and no one has a YMG1800D but ME! It's a great tractor. I've been very pleased with it.

I also have a YMG1800D, had it since june, had a Koyker 120 loader installed and put a 5' rear blade on it, so far its been great and even started it at 21 degrees the other day. I plan on using it to clean the driveway this winter which is 700' and wide but i will need more weight so I have to get off my butt and fill the tires soon.
