YM226D, JD, Import: Question

I have owned and enjoyed my Yanmar YM226D (U.S. model) tractor for a number of years. I have always understood that there is a Deere "clone" of the tractor that is virtually identical. I also believe that there is an import that is virtually the same as well. Mostly out of curiosity, but also for potential parts and implement knowledge I'm hoping soemone can tell me model numbers for these JD and import models.

There is no close JD. The YM1820 is the closest Japanese model.

I had always understood that Yanmar built compact tractors for Deere in the 1980's so just.assumed that there must be a green version of the YM226D.

JD contracted Yanmar to build compacts for Deere so there a lot of parts in common, but the Deeres were unique models. I don't think any were twins to Japanese Yanmars.

I have a piece of literature published by Yanmar about the Yanmar/Deere venture. They formed a joint venture to design & build tractors for Deere. They were spec tractors built to JD's specs. A couple of the early ones were real close to Yanmar models.
